The 2016/2017 transfer Season has started so lets take a look at some of the transfers that have taken place already. Ivan Paurevic has transferred from the Russian Premier League to Huddesfield Town in the English Championship. Huddersfield are managed by David Wagner, ex-Borussia Dortmund II coach, where Paurevic started his professional career before moving to Fortuna then the RPL. Current NT player Andrej Kramaric has signed on permanently with 1.Bundesliga 1899 Hoffeheim. He was loaned out from Leicester City to 1899 Hoffenheim in the winter 2016 transfer window. Dinamo Zagreb product Josip Brekalo was sold to Wolfsburg, can't remember the fee. Will most likely start off with their Wolfsburg ll team.
Striker Stipe Perica(21) has signed a contract with Udinese, as he was there on loan previously from Chelsea. It looks to be just for the 2016/2017 season. Centre Back Branimir Kalaica(18) has signed a 6 year contract with Benfica. He will be on their B team this coming season. Left Back Matija Špičić(28) has signed a contract to play for Dinamo Tbilisi in Georgia.
Brekalo was sold for 10 million euros. Vrsaljko was also sold to Atletico Madrid for 16 million euros
These are not Croatian players, but Ali Karimi, 22 y/o Iranian midfielder is in Zagreb to complete his contract with Dinamo and also Iranian papers report that 18 y/o Reza Shekari (CAM) is going to sign with Dinamo as well.

Ivan Kelava(28) - Keeper; has transferred from Granada to Udinese Calcio. Most likely as a backup Keeper. Marko Pajac(23) - Central mid; has transferred from NK Celje in Slovenia to Cagliari Calcio. Nikola Jambor(20) - Defensive mid; has transferred from Slaven Belupo to KSC Lokeren in Belgium. transfer fee was 525 British Pounds.
Ante Rebic(22) - Secondary Striker , is being sent on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt. If anyone can get through to him it is Niko Kovac Ante Budimir(24) - striker, has transferred from Crotone to Sampdoria. Transfer fee was 1.53 million British Pounds Sime Vrsaljko(24) - RB, has been sold to Atletico Madrid, was previously in Serie A with US Sassuolo. Fee was 15.30 million British Pounds. One of the biggest ever transfers by a Croatian player. Will be in direct competition with Juanfran there. Tin Matic(18)- Striker, has transferred from Dinamo Zagreb to Legia Warszawa in Poland. it was a free transfer to the Polish club and cup champion. Tomislav Barbaric(27) - CB, transferred from FK Sarajevo to KV Kortrijk(Belgium) for a fee of 298K British Pounds. Ivan Runje(25) - CB, has transferred from Omonia Nikosia to Jagiellonia Bialystok(Poland). Transfer fee was of 43k British pounds. Josip Brezovec(30) - Defensive Mid, has been sold by HNK Rijeka to Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova. Transfer fee was 213K. Filip Ozobic(25) - Attacking mid, has left Slaven Belupo and gone to FK Gabala(Azerbaijan). He left on a free transfer.
Lovro Medic(25) - Center Forward, has transferred from NK Zagreb to Boavista Porto FC in Liga NOS. Ivica Zunic(27) - CB, transferred from Volyn Lutsk in Ukraine to the Russian Premier League and newly promoted FK Orenburg. Petar Filipovic(25) - CB, has transferred from SV Reid to Austria Vienna. Patrik Dzalto(19) & Marc Barsnic(19) - both are strikers in the Bayer Leverkusen academy have been loaned out to SC Fortuna Koln and Jahn Regensburg in the German 3.Liga
Transfer season rolls on Marko Livaja(23) - Striker, has moved on from Empoli. He transferred to US Las Palmas in La Liga. It was a free transfer. Ante Rogulic(20) - Attacking mid, has gone on loan to FC Admira Wacker Modling(Austria) after spending last season on loan with Hajduk Split. Marin Jakolis(19) - Striker, has left Mouscron and joined KSV Roselare(Belgium) on a free transfer. Fabijan Buntic(19) - Keeper, has left VfB Stuttgart and joined FC Ingolstadt 04 on a free transfer. Probably gets loaned out. Ivan Mocinic(23) - Central Midfielder, was sold to Rapid Vienna from HNK Rijeka for 1.70 m Pounds. Marko Pjaca(21)- Left winger, has been sold to Juventus by Dinamo Zagreb for (estimates, as least what I am hearing, but can't confirm yet) for 22m or 23m Euro's. This would be the biggest transfer from the HNL ever. Alan Halilovic(20) - Attacking mid has been sold to Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga. The transfer fee is reported at 5 million euro's . With FC Barcelona having the right to buy him back in either of the first 2 seasons. With details of the buy back being; 10m euros after 1st year and - 12.5m euros after 2nd year.
Ante Puljic(28) - CB, has left KAA Gent and joined newly promoted Tom Tomsk in the Russian Premier League. A free transfer Ivan Tomecak(26) - RB, has left Dinpro Dnipropetrovsk and joined Al-Nasr Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. His form coach, Zoran Mamic is in charge there now. This was a free transfer. Duje Cop(26) - Center Forward, has been loaned out to Sporting Gijon after spending last season on loan with Malaga CF. Matej Delac(23) - Keeper, has joined Mouscron(Belgium) after spending last season on loan FK Sarajevo. This is his last season on that Chelsea contract. Antonio Mirko-Colak(22) - Striker, is set to sign with 1.Bundesliga side Darmstadt after impressing in the pre-season while on trial there. Spent last season on loan at 1.FC Kaiserslautern in the 2.Bundesliga.
Ivan Santini(27) - CF, has joined French side SM Caen from Standard Liege. Was sold for a little over 2 million pounds. Ivica Olic(36) - CF, has moved to the 2.Bundesliga with TSV 1860 Munich. The last stop probably on his great career. I guess he decided not to go to MLS. Marin Tomasov(28) - RW, has been sold by HNK Rijeka and will now be playing for Al-Nasr Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Last night against the Istanbul club was probably his last game for them. Its the same club that Ivan Tomecak has transferred too. Karlo Brucic(24) - LB from Lokomotiva and Nino Galovic(24) - CB from RNK Split have been acquired by F,C. Ashdod(Israel). Karlo Igor Majic(18) - CF, has joined Fortuna Dusseldorf U19. Was previously on Dinamo's Zagreb's U19 team.
Hrvoje Milic(27) - LB, has been sold by Hajduk Split to ACF Fiorentina for 850K pounds. Tomislav Kis(22) - CF,has been send on loan by Kortrijk to Cercle Brugge. Damir Sovsic(26) - AM, has ben sent on loan by Dinamo to Hapeol Tel Aviv. Branko Vrgoc(26) - CB, has been transferred from RNK Split to Maccabi Netanya. Robert Muric(20) - RW, has been sent on loan to Delfino Pescara 1936 by Ajax ,with an option to buy.
Karlo Butic(18) - CF, transferred from NK Zadar to Inter Milan's U19 primavera team. Transfer fee in unknown as of now. Josip Maganjic(17) - CF, sold to Fiorentina's by Hadjduk Split for a fee of 765k pounds. Will be joining their primavera squad. Antonio Jezina(27) - Keeper, sold to Royal FC Antwerp(Proximus league) by Dinamo. Transfer fee is unknown Dario Kresic(32) - Keeper, has transferred from Bayer Leverkusen to Omonia Nikosia. this was a free transfer. Ivo Ilicevic(29) - LW, has joined Anzhi Mahkachkala(Russian Premier League) from Hamburger SV. This was a free transfer. Frano Mlinar(24) - CM, has left Udinese Calcio and joined FC Wil 1900(Swiss Challenge League). It was probably a free transfer. Ricardo Bagadur(21) - CB, has been loaned out by ACF Fiorentina To Benevento Calcio(Serie B).

He torn his ACL last season while on loan at Royal AFC Antwerp so he missed a large chunk of last season. He was on Ferdo Milin's U19 team that played in the Euro finals last month.
You mean the team that got thrashed? Yeah, I know. It didn't seem at all like the team that reached quarter finals at U17 SP, which is odd as, except for a few players ( Sosa, Semper, Majic) it was almost the same team that reached quarter-finals at last U17 SP. Maybe these players that weren't there really made that big of a difference. Or who really made the difference was Dario Basic? Maybe they should have promoted him to U19 squad along with the team.

The biggest internal Croatian transfer was Mark Leskovic(25 year old CB) being sold by Rijeka to Dinamo Zagreb for 1.28M pounds. And I think that concludes a very busy summer transfer season 2016 for Croatians.
