    confused facts:

1.Montella and bacca had a lot of problems between them...The main resposible of his low performance was montella....as well of the bad spell of muriel in sampdora

    2. Zapata was injured for the first 6 months last season. when he came back montella put him as starer in importan matches.....like the derby.

For exmaple zapata with all that competence have played more than carlos sanchez with fiorentina this season.

Not sure what all the back and forth is about with Zapata @crzdcolombian @pepinointer . He'll end up as one of most successful CB Colombia's ever had. Not saying the best ever but VERY successful career. In Europe for over 12 seasons, matured at a young age and a part of the Colombian NT for 4 World Cup cycles, including a WC appearance, has played for Milan for 5 + and at 31, probably still with at least 3 years where he can compete at the highest level.

Even for the NT, he's never (until recently) ever looked like it was his position to lose. But he's a workhorse and what you want in a CB. I think he peaked for NT where we still had coaching decisions +/- that never really went his way. Something with Milan. Its a team that has been in turmoil for several years. Nothing but instability in that team.

Started today and maybe was the best defender. bonucci was red carded and he saved milan a lot of times.

maybe the job of montella was saved when he saved a shot of lapadulla.

He have started 7 matches this season. he always isnt starter but he is playing a lot. Before people start to say that his situation is similar to another inactive players

I think our defense should be Sachez - Zapata - Mina/Murillo

big difference between Cordobas >>>> Luis Perea >>>>> Yepes Euro career. Tho Yepes had that super awful injury at PSG that def hurt his career but was pretty mint for Milan just went when he was pretty old

Zapata is nowhere near those 3 in terms of euro career. He just started much younger because we had a awesome U20 team in 2005. He was thrown in as part of the Abel deal where Abel was the big prize but took forever to adapt.

I think Zapata is one of our most underrated defenders by far. His experience counts for a lot now days. He's not always 100% perfect but no one is really these days anymore. Not with defenders. Look at Hummels now. Varane. Pique. Even Sergio Ramos have really really bad spells for time.

Defending is not what it was 5-10 years ago where players could go for ever and ever and not have bad spells. The game has changed so much and become much more an attacking game than a defending game.

I'll also say Italy is the worst league for anyone to play in now days. Nobody does good there. Very few players adapt from other leagues and very few italian players adapt to other leagues.

Many players..too many to count have gone to Italy and looked bad there then moved on to other leagues and become absolute world beaters and the center of the best teams in those leagues.

The fact our players have done so well in Italy for so long says some things about them.

    Zapata career have been mediocre....

since he went to villareal he have been a defender with habitual mistakes and without a secure spot in his club.

He havent been able to be absolute starter in the worst milan of the history....he havent been able to win a spot with bad defenders like mexes, bonera, ely, paletta.

Milan Fans have bad concept of him because his bad spells.

Yeah with all this he have been better than a lot of another defenders.

but please dont over rated him.

Italy sucks? why does the EPL nut on their players. Italy just doesnt have the $$$$$ it had before because of TV rights. You think the EPL or Spain is better then Italy? Spain/England are money thats it. Spain less so after the top 3 teams. Italy and Germany are all about top talent that the other 2 leagues raid for players. France less so that one is a super feeder league.

Maybe you dont like how the Italians play and thats your opinion. I rather get punched in the nuts and watch a Nicholas Sparks movie with my wife then watch the correloco league in England.

This isnt true and happen with the rest of leagues:

    1. Saza, soriano, sansone italians are really good in spain
    2. zapacosta and darmian play good in epl. borini was good there.
    3. Mandzukic failed in spain and he was great in germany and now in italy. dzeko the same failed in englad but have been top scorer in germany and italy.
    4. higuain case...

there are the cases of kondogbia and murillo....

but what are you saying apply for all leagues

Dzeko didn't fail in England. He had the same goal scoring average there as he's had in every other country. Talk to any City fan they'll tell you he did just fine in England

Manzukic didn't fail in Spain he was very well regarded by Atletico fans and Atletico didn't pay much for him in the first place. He scored 14 goals in the first 6 months of his career there. I don't know anyone who's a atletico fan who think he's a failure.

As for Higuian I don't know what you want to say about him..he did fine in Madrid but he was also a kid. He had 4 seasons where he scored 20 or more goals and scored over 120 before moving to Italy.

Like I said earlier Italy is a very hard league for players. Example of Zasa, Soriano, Sasone, are all good ones. Zapacosta and Darmian and Borini too.

Kongdobia played with 3 different teams before he played for Inter and he was good for all of them. Inter fans hated him.

Murillo was a top talent for the national team and several teams in Spain. Inter fans hated him.

Coutinho did really well in Spain and has become a $100m Euro player in England but Inter fans hated him.

Carlos Bacca was one of the top scorers in Spain and AC Milan fans hated him. Even though he did actually score there.

The difference is Davinson and Mina are ready to rumble.

I don't know if Pekerman feels comfortable starting anyone other than Sanchez at his position. Even if he does not play much.

    No zapata sighting today.

He must have pooped in someone’s locker to be on the bench even in a Europa league game.

Zapata unless something changes is not going to be a starter and may not get on the plane. As long as Muriel is back playing when he's fit it should be Mina/Sanchez/Muriel as the top 3. All have better ceilings then Zapata always and all are very good young CB's so not a huge issue.
