If you believe the recent news, we might see BdC officially labelled a suspect in the hooligan attack. Bruno Jacinto's lawyer (Jacinto is the most recently person to be arrested, he was a staffer whose role was liaison to the club supporters) said that BdC should be involved in questioning. He says there was knowledge beforehand that this would happen. Andre Geraldes, his former director of football, seems to have also distanced himself, and has said in recent days that there was a meeting between BdC and Juve Leo where he told them they had a "blank card" or green light to "squeeze" the players. Add to that the fact BdC and his lawyer tried showing up to the Department of Investigation in person to offer any assistance in the case, and was rejected outright. When you consider that a) the other suspects have a terrorism charge against them, and b) the arrest of BdC could give the players that rescinded more power in their argument to rescind their contract, this should be fun times ahead.

President Varandas confirmed today that there are only a few "minor details" before confirming the deal with Wolves for Patricio. He also said that we will begin talks with Atletico regarding Gelson tomorrow, assuring that the club's rights will be the priority, whether we manage to strike a deal with the Spanish club or not, although he hopes they can strike a deal.
Finally - it's official. Deal made with Wolves for Patricio for 18M euros. Also we announced a deal with Gestifute (Jorge Mendes agency) to reduce our debt with them from 9.5M to 4M euros. Seems like there's some tension between Varandas and Juve Leo. Varandas didn't greet JL leader Mustafa in London and apparently since Varandas took over, he hasn't had the same relationship that BdC had, cutting benefits that JL had before. One of these benefits Varandas cut was apparently that some of group's members used to travel with the players on the plane to away games. Another benefit apparently were tickets that were offered to the supporter groups at a discount price, which were in turn sold on game day for twice as much and the supporters group pocketed the profit.
SCP clarified today the litigation cases with regards to the 4 remaining players that rescinded that we haven't reached a deal for - Podence, Gelson, Rafael Leao and Ruben Ribeiro. If we were to lose all 4 cases, we could be condemned to pay around 6.8M euros: Podence could get 830K, while Gelson could get 3.45M euros. Unknown what the other two might get. SCP is looking for large sums of money for each of the players for breach of contract: 60.45M for Podence, 105.1M for Gelson, 45.3M for Rafael Leao and 62.2M for Ruben Ribeiro. A bit extravagant, but if it's within our right to look for this money, why not?

I think Leao wanted to come back, but his father and agent spinned his head. It's all about money. Varandas has admitted publically he's trying to negotiate with Atletico, I'm still thinking we could strike a deal.
