Just bought 11 extra seats in 206 to go with the 3 we already had in 126. Bringing some friends from work.
Hhhhmmm... don't they usually sell westside tix first before even opening up the eastside? Seems odd....
So 3000 more than Chicago had for their playoff game and about the same as Houston had is some sort of statement that's we don't support soccer in Columbus?
Arrive early and prepare for pat-downs. Gates open at 6:30. $5 beers on the plaza until kickoff, but try not to buy in there because you're supporting the snake. https://www.columbuscrewsc.com/post/2017/10/30/supporters-encouraged-arrive-early-clbvnyc
To piggy-back onto this, try to buy food from Schmidt’s, Hot Chicken Takeover, and other food trucks and NOT from the concession stands—less $ for Pr******. As for beer, does the beer you get from those Crew 96 Ale ( or whatever it’s called) taps on the mezzanine go to Pr*****’s pockets too? Or maybe a smaller % than the concession stands? And what about the craft beer stand on the west side lower level (where Subway used to be). Does less of that go to Pr******?
So what's to stop people from filling in the seats that are unsold to at least make it look more respectable on tv?
The premier East seating..cheaper than the West..Is already packed..nearly sold out..If not already...great for TV.. 15000 plus ...easy.
And by the by...I don’t think we are totally screwed in terms of moving. Today there was a ray of hope originating from San Antonio. With a decent crowd, the team continuing to win, and some more legitimate legal pressure from either San Antonio or Broad and High this might turn out ok. Now a crowd tomorrow night of 12k...That’s a major blow.
Things I’m looking for tomorrow: 1. Crowd size of 16k or more 2. Crew get a shutout 3. Crew get a victory and a shutout 4. I find a way not to have my balls freeze to the aluminum seats 5. Will the owners box be occupied? 6. What will have more signs in the crowd? Monday night Raw or tomorrows game?
Gate 3 is on the east side, near the Upper 90. It used to be listed as "Vehicle Entrance" or some such. Gate 4 is on the south side of the stadium and the Upper 90. Gate 5 is immediately south of the offices. Hopefully this helps. And yes, we actually have a Nordecke Entrance for such things, but why we don't use it is anyone's guess.
Regardless of the attendance, I think the atmosphere is going to be pretty electric. Just remember, 2008 vs Chicago was 14,688 and I think most will agree it was one of the best atmosphere's in Crew history. What's going to be REALLY interesting are the songs. Outside of the standard songs, several others seem to be appropriate: * This Is Our House.... * We're Not Done Yet... * There's only one, Tony Precourt.... * We shall not be moved

God, I hope tomorrow's attendance makes the rest of the league's look like dogshit - well, even worse than they already do. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease......
The word LIE is in the middle of that I'm guessing in the 17K range. TV crew better not have an intern working that sound booth.
Hope to be at Lineage around 6-ish for my pregame ritual. On jury duty this week, so I have no idea when I'll be home today; hopefully early. By the way, one of my group is wavering on being able to attend. Delayed flights getting back to Columbus last night. Arrived 4am, had to be at work at 7:30am. Gonna try and get some compensatory sleep this afternoon. Anyway, I may have an extra ticket in 130 available, but won't know until this afternoon. Then again, being that they'll announce tickets sold, I don't at all mind eating the cost of an extra ticket today.
