No Crew fan who lives within three hours of Columbus should watch the game on TV. Get your butts to the stadium! This is one time the team needs our support!!
I was at the New England playoff game in 2014. No game will ever be colder than that, so its all good.
Ok, so I know we here at BS will be going and all the diehards with be going but... how can we actually get enough casuals to go and to prove our point that we deserve our team? The media is going to be super critical about our attendance on Tuesday.
Yeah and your question is all the more curious because October 31st is of course Halloween. There will be a lot of families, i.e., fathers, who would love to attend but may be tied down by trick or treat activities.
I'm going to assume that Precourt will reveal that he has a previously scheduled meeting on the west coast on Tuesday, so that's one that won't be able to make it.
Dear lord, someone got to campus and tell all the OSU kids that it will be the biggest party ever. Problem solved.
btw, for anyone interested in going, it looks like the second leg is Sunday November 5, and shockingly enough it'll even be at Yankee Stadium
I will be making the trek up to the match. The 8pm start helps. What I don't know is drive back late, or hotel and drive back early... Oh, and I hope that my voice comes back by Tuesday so I can lose it again
If a kind mod can move the good work on the other thread to the one with a poll that would be just spiffy...
Why not use the Save the Crew movement, with media/sponsors involvement to have a massive tailgate Trick or Treat in the Parking lot?
This is, I am sure, a very bittersweet moment for Precourt. Providing the fans with a national stage to voice their ire. Organized and advertised protests required.
It's worth remembering that NYCFC was mauled by Toronto last year in the playoffs 7-0 over 2 legs. This is also a team that was eliminated this year by Red Bull in their first Open Cup game. For whatever reason despite all the regular season success that he has had at NYCFC Vierra's teams have laid eggs in elimination games. Let's continue that trend.
It's hard to tell from out of state, and within the #SaveTheCrew echo chamber, but how much can we realistically expect for Tuesday. I personally think a sell out on 4-5 days notice is unlikely (though I'd obviously be thrilled if that happened). What would be considered good attendance for this? 15,000?
