    Just a question:

Colud someone please tell me where exactly the "Trade McBride, Dump McBride, McBride sucks" crowd is now?

I seem to recall "chatting" with several Crew "fans" a few months back who thought he was worthelss.

Frankly, the guy is a fukkin stud.

    Steady PK finish.
Nice chip pass to Cunningham on goal numero two.

Looks like the ref is starting to call the persistent infringement on McBride, resulting in Addo going off after weed-whacking Maissoneuve from behind...

What more could you ask for?

Bill, it WAS worth it to see Mike Segroves eat his crow after Japorea ;)

Let it be said, I was ALWAYS in McBride's corner!

What did you expect? Rich Grady is the ref tonight. He dishes out red cards as if he was a cop trying to get his quota. ;)

It WAS the proper call, though. Too bad a lot of refs do ignore the "red card for tackles from behind" rule that was only sooo recently instituted.

Do I hear friggin' cow bells there? Perhaps those are the "cow people" to which Metro fans were referring.

Yes, yes you do. And that piped in Metro music must be that "ethnic feel" you get in Jersey.

    Not 11 v 10 ...

If we pack it up one goal and player up then Greg should be fed to flesh-eating monkeys.

Actually I'm more worried about the Crew going into "long-ball" mode...

    1 goal
    1 assist

with 20 minutes left to go...

BIG damn win boys. Wow, Cunny makes the most of his time, Warzycha doesn't give away any horrible free kicks in his 10 mins, and West finally gets his first goal. I'm feeling good. Bombay's all around tonight if ya hit a bar in Indy.
Although Leitch was giving me a heart attack guarding Diallo. But its all good.
    3-2.
BTW, Splarg and Own-Goal were you guys at a corner flag, I coulda sworn I heard a "Kyle" chant on MSG's feed in the second half. If so nice work boys.

    big bob made an appearance...

why? all he did was give the ball away a few times and totally come up empty on some slide tackles that did make him look his age.

oh well, cunny comes in and plays very well...

that ball to west and west's finish...total first class!

I think tonight's broadcast was brought to us by the Dublin Coffman High School A/V Club. The presentation - the nice zoom in/zoom out/zoom in shots, graphics over important plays, missing MetroStars' PK play live - was simply outstanding.

Tonight showed, in my opinion, why Jeff Cunningham needs significant playing time. He was continually dangerous, had a goal and an assist, and proved effective in killing time.

Could the Crew defense be any slower to the ball? Both MetroStars goals were the result of Crew defenders getting blown away by Metros, especially Diallo's goal by passing Clark like a traffic cone. That trend for the evening was kind of distressing.

And tonight was the first time in his brief MLS career that I was frightened by Busch's height.

And the antacid I took did NOT help [IMG]

And OMG he whiffed BADLY on one slide tackle. I literally put my head in my hands after witnessing that sad spectacle.

Curious to hear everyone's take on the Metrostar's PK, was Diallo truly fouled?

    Couldn't really tell.

    Why no Garcia????

Why did we have to Uncle Bob in, we continued to attack, I'm sure the Rat would've wanted some action.

    Points is points...

    I'll take them.

Congrats to West for making up for that horrid back pass that led to Metro goal 2 by nabbing the game winner.

Jeff looked good. Duncan looked good.

Why, oh for the love of God why bring in Bob? Couldn't we just give our sub to the Metros to use instead? Bob did absolutely nothing positive when he came in. I like the guy but give Garcia a few minutes and move Denton back into the defense...

Does anybody know what Torres is doing when he feels the need to clear the ball fifty miles out of play at the end of games when we have a lead?

Both PK's were fouls... Diallo was in and was wrassled off the ball. He was probably holding too, but it looked legit when he was spun around at the end. Addo's 2nd caution was definitely a foul. The spot on Martino was a chop in the box and was a PK.

There was one shot above Busch at the left goal, where the ball hit the cross bar. If he was 2-3 inches taller, he could have EASILY grabbed it.
