I was planning on setting up a table on Front St. right outside Claddagh with Gatorade cups full of Guinness for the runners.
I'm in. I am going to need three: one to chug, one to pour over my head, and another to carry with me as I continue.
but I AM a belligerant drunk... totally would be down for this. I'd definatly be more on the walk side of the run/walk tho
I know the Galaxy supporters used to send a team to Chicago every year for a supporter v. supporter match before the clubs played. If a team could be fielded and Section 8 still has theirs, it could be fun. I'm not sure who you contact from Sec.8 but I assume it wouldn't be too hard to do. I think they just played at a local park though, would be cool to get in the stadium after the match. I suppose that may be asking a bit much though.
We had a match against TFC before the season opener last year and it was a lot of fun. I was hoping to do it again this year. Would be great to play a couple more teams supporters and build on the rivalry.
I'm working on figuring out what time Crawl for Cancer runs since we don't play till 10:30 in Seattle on May 30th. This is more my style than a 5k.
Funny you should say that. I've been going to it for a while now (my mom is a survivor of 10 years) and a few years back I was partying all night the night before the race and decided I would just drink a bunch of coffee and stay up the rest of the night and go down in the morning. That was quite a miserable experience to say the least. I was on the walking side of things that day.
There's usually a Crew presence in the St. Patrick's Parade in Dublin, the 4th of July Parade in Columbus (on July 3rd), and the I believe the 4th of July Parade in Upper Arlington has also had a Crew presence. An increase in Crew fans to those events certainly wouldn't be a bad thing, either walking in the parades or even just lining the parade routes. In past years, Crew fans have helped out at WOSU'S "Go Auction!" It's usually in April, IIRC. I don't know the exact dates, but it's usually been a Thursday or a Friday. Shifts are two hours, although if people can stay for longer, depending on individual schedules, they won't turn anyone away. In addition to training, they even give you a dinner, soft drinks, and popcorn. I've helped out with all that stuff, except for the Upper Arlington parade. If there's any interest, let me know.
I'm from Upper Arlington, so if you guys decide to do something with the Upper Arlington Parade, let me know.
How has there been no positive reaction from this crowd to a fundraiser that only involves drinking to raise money? especially drew?
yeah, what's the deal with this parade clem? It's also nice to see you so enthusiastic about a parade other than gay pride!
i once ended up in the Gay Pride parade. i didn't know it was going on, i drove around a barrier to get on high st. made it about a block and realized there were alot of people on the sidewalks and alot of rainbow flags. it looked like things were winding down, so no one had me get off the street. oddly enough, i think i blended in just fine
you know, i think she's wondered a time or two. i mean just because i said Iro was sexy doesn't mean i can't love Lady ThreeC too! do we still have enough homebrewers around here to do a home brew competition at a tailgate this year?
