FC Dallas draws more people in Frisco than they did two miles east of downtown Dallas. And HSG, for better or worse, is investing money in its operations in Frisco.
Amazing stuff from Arace. So many gems, "watch the snakes eat the worms", the shot he took at Greeley, on and on. Just a stunningly brilliant piece that should be required reading for anyone that cares about soccer in the United States, or anywhere for that matter.
I agree with Arace. There's no need for Prec*nt to keep up the pretense of there being a chance of the team staying with him as owner. He's taken his F-you's in person, and he can certainly still get them remotely. Go to Austin and let us have this moment for ourselves. Us all, not you.
Where was this a year ago? Outside of Burley and a few posters and bloggers, no one criticized the league or players. Bradley? Awesome. Single entity? Awesome, it's the only way soccer will survive in America. TFC fans? Awesome, they're teaching the league. Seattle's football stadium and fake grass? Awesome. League changing rules to favor a team? Awesome, we'll all benefit. Garber spouting bullshit? Awesome, look at us grow. I appreciate the fact journos are growing a pair after this shitstorm and USMNT debacle but we really needed it before. Let's face it, they weren't reporters they were cheerleaders.
Precourt was reportedly not worried about angry fans chanting against his ownership as he stated, "******** those guys, their team and their town," and called down to the field to tell Gregg Berhalter to pull half the team away from their defensive responsibilities for a talk about wonderful condominiums available around Lake Travis. https://www.thenutmegnews.com/curre...d-columbus-crew-ownership-bemoans-playoff-win
Arace grew up in Hartford and was a writer for the local paper when the Whalers moved to RDU. Hes seen this shit play out before. I’m glad he’s not holding back.
Anthony, In case your a real gluten for punishment and are reading these posts. It's not too late. You can sell the team and walk away with a lot of money!
I didn't realize this until Arace article (apologies if it was posted previously), but Precourt had to have signed off on LAFC's use of Black and Gold as their primary colors. In JANUARY 2016.
“To have them in Columbus...is priceless."@torontofc could have as many as 1️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ away supporters for #CLBvTOR. https://t.co/Zx7F3qj1RD pic.twitter.com/S0Ra5WWLrT— Major League Soccer (@MLS) November 19, 2017 Holy ******** balls. There is an article on MajorLeagueSoccerSoccer.com talking about how great it is that 1,000 Toronto fans are making the trip Columbus and they still haven't announced the sellout. What a ********ing hack job by MLS. ******** Garber and this ********ing league.
Standing room only. #CLBvTOR is a sellout. https://t.co/c5d2SW3Ne8 pic.twitter.com/hHSPDH35fe— Major League Soccer (@MLS) November 20, 2017
I don't know why that would be the case anyway. There are only so many colors in the spectrum. Repeat colors are inevitable. I don't understand why Precourt would have any say in this in the first place.
Ahahahaha! #marketchallenges Mother********ers can't even be bothered to make a ********ing graphic. ******** those assholes.
Well then let SUM figure it out. MLS, and its teams, should bring in whatever players they believe will make them better.
