Crew Third Jersey

I want to see the original banana kit come back:




Thankfully the "tire track" jerseys were DOA. Good move by whoever nixed them. I'd be interested in seeing a photo of the orange "goofed up" jerseys, just to see how goofed up those were. (For those that don't know, back in 2002, they were supposed to get new uniforms. Unfortunately, they came in and were described as being orange. For that home opener, the old black ones from 1999-2001 were worn.)

 

My all-time favorite....love this one to come back too....or at the very least available for purchase.

I really, REALLY don't get why people get all moist over this. It's not that remarkable and kind of looks a poorly-executed bit of adidas advertising to me.

Is it the folklore connected to it (the fact that it was the first non-disastrous MLS away kit)? Someone 'splain it.

On the other hand, the subtle differences in the rendering by cbus3 above makes a quite nice alternative, though still way too overtly adidas.

This textured pattern fabric is also an option to spice up a plain jersey.

I would like reflective silver uniforms w/ yellow & black accents....this kind of silver.

It has to be the folklore because I'm not all 'gasmic over that kit. My take is the fact that yellow and white like that seem a bit too 'cupcake'. Yellow and black when used correctly can be a powerful color combo, see Public Enemy logos, or a hive of bees or hornets attacking in the hundreds.

 

Banner? Given our "favored" status in MLS.

 

I like the white and yellow jersey. It could be improved upon, definitely.

I really like this one. We might not ever get to wear it but it is pretty sweet. I mean who else even in Concacaf has yellow uniforms?

 

Drop the goofy "The Crew" and that's pretty sweet.

 

Chelsea's new third reminded me a bit of some of the suggestions in this thread.

I have always thought the crew would look good in an all brown kit. Something like this perhaps.
