    Totally fair.

This thread is a great cover place to drop info...

But are you talking about additions for this window or the winter?

    Boo.

So our big summer additions will be Room and Diaz plus maybe the Scottish guy?

Don't know if they are planning on adding anyone else this window, sorry. I do know they made it clear that the bulk of the changes will come in the off season.

That’s kinda crappy tbh. I was hoping for a big summer signing. Looks like we’re in for a rough rest of our season.

Yeah, I was hoping for a Pipa replacement this window. The shopping is usually better in the summer than winter and I don't like just writing off the rest of the year.

I don't either, but it seems clear they're playing the long game

If they do it right, I'm okay with that.

Thing is, ticket sales will be embarrassingly low if they end the season on a down note.

Will be that way regardless until the new stadium opens.

Just to push back a little, the club has just acquired, as part of the TFC swap, an additional international slot. They don't need that slot based on their current roster configuration. And these slots expire at the end of the calendar year.

Now, I don't know if the Crew will sign anyone else this transfer window, but Bez did just trade for a spare international roster slot, which implies he's at least considering using it. I'm in the camp that would feel that, if this is all we get this window, I'll be extremely disappointed: a replacement for Steffen; a "project" young midfielder from Costa Rica; and some backup strikers for Zardes.

Bez said the summer window would be "fun." That only holds if you consider treading water a rockin' good time. Room is a great signing, but at best it'll be a wash for the club, since Steffen was such a remarkable talent. Our two new strikers are unlikely to get much playing time, other than as 80th minute subs. Diaz? Hell, who knows? But as, in his short career, he's scored 2-3 goals, I doubt he'll suddenly emerge as the club's next superstar in the coming months.

We need another substantive signing this summer.

Sure but there are better players available in the summer than winter. The European seasons have ended and the Latin split seasons are on break too. I don't know how high we're aiming but now is the time for MLS teams to add expensive players.

Meh. I think this is well overblown. People who say only good players can be added in the summer are just looking at European top leagues. Also, a player can certainly be signed up in summer, but not come until winter (e.g., Kei).

While @GoCrew1996 may be the belle of the ball, @Minnman is the unassuming sage.

Nice signature line, GC96. Have you heard any word on when Doc Edwards will be accepting the 2019 co-crown (with the 1 and only, @chr1st)?

I hope we're aiming higher than a Norwich City washout. At the time I was glad we signed Kei and he exceeded expectations. We should be looking for a player who will play well and not be exceeding expectations when he does. We should be willing to pay an amount similar to what Fernandez, Pozuelo, or Bou went for.

If we're a club looking to add talent and we sell our best player for $9 mil, we shouldn't blink at paying more than that.

Hey it could change. I known they are in discussions with one player who I think we'd all love whom they said would start PLAYING for us next season but they never really specified when he's sign (if he does). Things can change quickly.

    No it’s not!
It’s a tease and letdown for those of us who saw action on here and thought Sheep League was back on!

    Envision it:

@cleazer dropping the 1-5 results. Us telling each other how stupid we are. @GoCrew1996 revealing some awesome acquisition. Then more bickering about which Crew player was the worst in x game.

How is The Land of the Mouse?

Any possible hints about this player we’d all love? Would people who love a certain team or league or region of a continent love this player? Is this a player we have all heard of?
