No Guille or Herron for the Crew. Thomas making his first appearance of the year.

    Crew in the banana kit.

Because it's on HDNET and Columbus Sports Network. I think two TV broadcasts is ample enough for an MLS game.;)

I think because it's on HDNet, and they get exclusive nationwide broadcast rights.

That's my guess, anyway. My cable provider doesn't offer Direct Kick so I'm always forced to watch online.

Crew looks dangerous, but cannot shoot. Kei has missed 2 headers that should have been on target but were wasted. I like the pace of the Crew but we need to score soon.

I was surprised to see us take control of the match given our injuries and suspensions but we're obviously missing Guille. I think some of those close calls would have been goals if he was in there.

Are we this good or are the Red Balls that bad?

The word "domination" springs unbidden to mind.

Not a bad 1/2 by a team missing a lot of players. Made more chances....just didn't finish them. I hope both teams pick up the pace a bit.

What are the Crew doing to take out the Red Bull midfield? That's pretty awesome so far...

Massive. Men played as if Guille was on the pitch.

OK - 10 points out of four games since I swore off going to crew stadium.

    Coincidence? I don't think so.

You can all thank me however you feel fit.

Exactly. And getting a win like this while he gets healthy again couldn't be bigger. Everyone - with no exceptions - stepped it up tonight.

Great match. The defense played a solid game - Hesmer was really only tested two or three times, and came up big against Mathis, I believe. Hejduk had a great game, and looked refreshed coming back from the Gold Cup - which obviously did him some good confidence wise. Marshall and Gonzo played well together in the center. I was afraid when I saw Pierce would be starting against Richards, but Migs recovered well and helped out on that side of the pitch. Thomas came in with energy, which I think sparked the rest of the team, but can't cross worth shite. Nice to see Herron back, though. For a team missing players due to injuries, call-ups, and suspensions and up against NY's regulars, GREAT performance.
