Let me be the first to speculate wildly with no basis in fact... Didier Drogba. He wants out of Chelsea anyway.

Ahhh, a refreshing chance for fuel to be thrown onto the bring back Stern and McBride fires.

Could we designate Kokosing as our DP and have them build us a partial roof while we are at it?

I would be overjoyed. He's a fantastic player. I've been a fan for a long time.

Plus, he's only made something like 10 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona so far this season. But with the weak dollar, I'm not so sure we could afford the transfer fee.

    But it's a nice thought. :)

Nope - neither of them is European.

I was being selfish. He and I played on the same youth team. But it's wishful thinking.

that would be pretty nice and he's only 29 (i cant believe i just said that).
we would have to pay a transfer fee, though, right? but he's rumored to go to west ham or newcastle.

newcastle can have him and then we'll take michael owen

They do realize the to win the golden boot we need to... you know... score goals?

But really, excellent to hear they are "considering" a goal scorer for the DP and that there is mutual interest. Just make sure there's no confusion about excersizing contract clauses.

He's 29. Has scored 19 goals in 48 caps for the Icelandic National team and scored 52 goals in his 6 seasons at Chelsea but was injured in his first season at Barca. He's got 6 goals in 32 appearances but now that Henry is there, he's spending most of his time on the bench.

    Kluivert's banned from this country.

Good work from the FO if they can land a DP.

...manslaughter etc. He tried to get in once on a preseason tour for Barca and was turned away at the aeropuerto IIRC.

I think we should extend the trend and poach another former Prem star from the clutches of a top Spanish club.
