On TV anywhere? Is GBS retiring after this match?

Sigh. I know. To add insult to injury, we already have a coach with a funny accent that could be amplified by any number of hilarious situations.

That could be one of the greatest commercials of all time. "OK everybody sit down and shut yer haggis-traps."

The one with Timber Joey was pretty decent too.

I love when the pilot says "Now what are we supposed to do... OH SHI..."
Classic. Even when Glidden was our sponsor, their ads never featured us really. You would have thought they could have teamed up with the Crew for a regional specific Co-branded ad, they didn't have to play it anywhere else but they could have at least showed it in our market region...

And the fact that fans wearing a jersey get priority seating, that is brilliant.

S(omewhat)CR: GBS and Gimnasia vs. Boca Juniors

Guillermo Barros Schelotto is slated to play his final match, as Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata fittingly host Boca Juniors on Saturday at 2 pm.

Also of note, according to ESPNSoccernet, Guille has played in 16 of Gimnasia's 18 Clausura games so far [Yes, I know they weren't all full 90s.] - a feat similar to only a limited amount of the disintegrating 2011 Crew roster (through 14 matches). But he was too old and had to go, right?

Our FO should contact that marketing firm and hire them now. Without those pesky constraints of a sponsor, it should be pretty easy to come up with a witty campaign.

I have an image of Argentinian soccer being a lot slower pace than the MLS. Of course I could be wrong.

    I thought this was funny.

Has anyone seen this a former crew player and a former zip in a commercial together. Enjoy.

Like! I'm sure Steven had his reasons, but there's a few in my house who miss that guy!

Wow, is that like an actual TV ad with an actual real sponsor featuring actual players in uniform and everything. I mean I have heard that such things existed but never really expected to see one, kinda like seeing the abominable snowman.

UEFA Tells FIFA to Make Reforms in 3 Months

Hidden amongst all the official statements and recaps was this gem:
Now I knew about Kissinger's appointment and the debates about that. But Placido Domingo? PLACIDO DOMINGO? Yep, this is going to be a serious, in-depth committee that is really going to get the heart of issues and root out the corruption.

His qualification seems to be that he is a soccer fan and has been involved with World cup's through his musical entertainment as part of the three tenors...personally I would have chosen Shakira, but that's just me.
