MLS Regular Season Match Columbus Crew FC at San Jose Earthquakes Saturday, August 05 10:30 PM Avaya Stadium, San Jose, Calif. TV: CW Columbus / Spectrum Sports / BCSN2 (Spectrum 311/1311, AT&T 005/1005, WOW! 005/205, DirecTV 053/902, Dish 053/7205, Antenna 53.1) Please note; this post will be the last pre-match post I will be doing this season due to a number of personal reasons.
Can we have a option that depends on formation lol With 3 games on the road we need to steal some points we got to get at least a draw
Yeah Grouchy, I hope everything is ok. As for the match, not really feeling it. Road game vs average opponent equals lose by one.
Amazing to see I guy I played against in High School (Leitch) coaching a club. Chris was with the Metro Bulls in THE MLS cup final of 08. Crew by 1.
No idea what this is, but game tonight is MLS Free match of the week. Might be useful to someone https://www.mlssoccer.com/mls-live
I'm not a very big fan of our commentators, but SJ's might be the worst in the league. Absolute joke. MLS Live is a great product, I subscribe myself, but tonight will be 100% CW all the way. MLS Live almost always seems to show SJ's commentators.
That's funny, I actually really enjoy listening to their analyst Chris Dangerfield. Now Atlanta's PBP man, some Englishman that looks like Paul Sturrock, is a complete moron and the worst I've ever heard. I'll be completely honest, I have a soft spot for SJ, not tonight obviously. I love Avaya, and I like most of the signings they've made this year. I love watching Urena play, my kind of striker even though he doesn't put up numbers. Great movement, deceptively quick. Looks about 50 years old.
San Jose is taking a risk here tonight IMO. Only Ceren is sitting. No Godoy, no Alashe. We should be able to open them up like we did up in Minnesota a few weeks ago getting at Cronin.
The guy with the speech impediment? He's great. Anyway, he also just pointed out that San Jose have a serious numbers problem in the middle tonight and it'll be up to Yueill and Thompson to do some defending. Funny thing is that'll mean they'll have to tighten up and get more compact, which defeats the purpose of using the 3-5-2.
Jimenez and Mensah on the same side of the pitch is a major problem. I would prefer both if them staying on the bench. Mensah already has a yellow.
