9 games to go. We need to start getting Santos integrated ASAP & also we need to see who are our starters in the with Pipa 4231 & the without Pipa 343.

I think left wingback/fullback is up for grabs. I like Francis more in the 343. In a four back, Raitala is closer. I also think the CB spots are still unsettled. Abubakar has earned one. As for the other 2/3: Williams, Crognale, & Mensah have all had good & bad moments.

In the 343 I like Mensah, Williams, & Abubakar. It is our most athletic group. Plus Abubakar & Williams are scrappy.

In a 4 back, I like Crognale better. But pairing him with Abubakar is scary. Two rookies?

I want to see Pipa & Santos start. Hansen & Manneh likely out. 4 in the back. Go 343 for the midweek game. Pipa & Afful may get rest. Mensah could be suspended.

Larin + Dwyer means we need our most athletic CB combo.

Or if in a 343 you bench Trapp which we know GB will not do. If we play a 343 with Higuain which seems unlikely then you have to bench a cdm and that would likely be Artur ( because GB doesn't get it ) Then you also have to start a 3rd CB which I would go with Williams , Crognale and Abubakar.


No matter what we do this is a big game so I hope Mensah did not travel and is not on the bench. That might be the biggest key to victory
