Well...if you thought last week was bad. This was miles worse. Columbus squanders at least 3 open looks in front of the goal without putting shots on frame. We give up a handful of shots and 3 of them go in. And, our DP gets a straight red card, so he won't be available next week. Kamara nets a consolation goal just before the final whistle. 3-1 loss. We're only two matches in--not time to panic yet, right? Besides, we've never been good at Houston. You have to say, it sure looks a lot like the 2016 Columbus Crew SC.
Berhalter was giving it to the refs in the post-match. I'm guessing about the Mensah red card. It looked like he slipped.
Two grouchy points for me, 2 goal loss and mensah red. Also had elis and quioto on my fantasy team, elis as captain. Other than the final result, play on the field, and tactics, this was a great game for me.

I've said that one of the problems with MLS is the fact there are guys on the field who have no business being a pro. This week's exhibit: Maloney. If Mensah earned a red card, that shin on Steffen should be a five game ban.
Yeah Higuain is terrible. Got the ball in midfield so much and every pass he couldn't get it to a Crew player once. Always to a man in orange. Put some muscle behind that kick, pass. God awful.
Up 3-0 in the ...68th-70th minute... the offensive player usually leaps over the collision. The fact that the player didn't and that our team's reaction was lukewarm about it says a lot.
When your down 2-0 at half could someone explain to me why your looking to sub your right back and then your defensive midfielder? And how your solution offensively is finally in the 70th minute, when you go down 3-0, including Adam Jahn.
No team chemistry, no leadership, inexperienced lineup, unorganized, missed opportunities in front of the goal, horrendous passing, losing composure when under pressure, missed marking, squandered set pieces....this is your 2017 Crew SC !
