Guarani of the University city of Campinas in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil has aquired a new forward that goes by the name of Creedence Clearwater just as in the 60's Rock band. The 23 year old was named that way by his dad a huge fan of the band. His full name is Creedence Clearwater Couto and not revival as the band name ends. Guarani seems to be known for whacky names. In 1978 when they won their only Brazilian Championship their 3 forwards were every game: Capitao, Careca and Bozo . Translated that means Captain, Baldy and Bozo. Now Creedence Clearwater. Nice.

Well, these are not quite the American '60s era groups that this fellow's father may have heard of--a bit too "post-punk", shall we say. Perhaps you are referring to crap such as: The Velvet Underground Iggie and the Stooges the MC5 Those would be more in line with the time period.
I can't wait for this guy to get really good, then famous, get a couple dozen caps, then for him to suck, and get kicked down a couple of divisions, and then gradually get better until he becomes a star again, just so we can talk about Credence Clearwater's revival.
...or Queen. ...or the electric light orchestra ...or toots and the maytals this could only happen in Brazil.
