We haven't seen a picture since, but fans who have bumped into him in the last week or so say he's looking great, not to mention our assistant coach saying he's working hard on the fitness. We've signed 3 or four attacking players who should take away some of the attention that opposition player's boots usually pay Carlos' legs, so hopefully he can stay free of those kind of injuries this season.

Yeah, I watch the Eredivisie a lot in my spare time, and this keeper has been incredible for AZ this year.

I was wondering why he doesn't play for Costa Rica more often, at least in friendlies, and then I remembered hearing that he had some legal problem some time ago. Does anyone here know more about that?

Glad to see Esteban doing great in Holland...i saw he stopped a pk last match but was unlucky to get scored on the rebound.

Esteban still has the legal problems I think...so he most likely won't be called up for the matches in Costa Rica. He also won't be called up if we only play 1 friendly since Navas is our starter and i doubt our Fed will want to pay for both to come when one will be on the bench.

Levante of Keylor Navas beat Villareal away 3-0 and are in 1st place ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain. Keylor Navas still hasn't made his debut since Uruguayo Munua is doing a great job as Levante's keeper.

    Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010

90 minutes for Oviedo and 70 minutes for Bolaños as FC Copenhagen comfortably beat Brøndby 3-0 away in the cup despite fielding several reserves. Oviedo did very well and shouldn't be far behind Bengtsson in the pecking order at left back. Bolaños plays every match and was only substituted because the match was already won and Copenhagen face a tough match against his old team, Odense, on Sunday.

Gamboa still hasn't seen any playing time and is only third choice at right back. He will probably either bo loaned out in the spring or one of the two players ahead of him won't be in the club anymore by then. Having three right backs in the squad doesn't really make any sense in the long term.

    Re: Costa Ricans Abroad[R] 2010

I think Copenhagen should play Oviedo as a LM...he is better at attacking than he is at defending but is also good at helping out the defense. He was one of our best players against Brazil earlier this month as a LM.

Gamboa is basically the same as Oviedo but on the right side...Gamboa is very fast and good at attacking...his defense is suspect though for a RB IMO.
