About to kick off...have at it!

Interesting comment about how soft the field is at points....we start well. Nice ideas and possession - 1 minute in, though.

I want Zardes to score mostly because I want people to stop talking about Zardes not scoring

Great pass from Trapp even if it didn’t connect

Quick Costa Rica counter...thwarted, but boy was that quick.

Costa Rica asserting itself now -- winning most 2nd balls.

The weather is so far better than predicted. I hope we don't embarrass ourselves and Nick scores

Zardes has had some good spell in possession and distribution so far.

    Through 20

    - we are more live that the first twenty last week
    - I like Trapps brain, but his body is not up to the job
    - Zardes is at least working hard.
    - Zimmerman is kind of a badaaa
    - all in all, we are being aggressive

Glad to see Guzman at least got a talking to in the first half....and Mihailovic (?) got a nice bite in on purpose or not.

Mihailovic has been poor, I think. His passing in particular. Seems to hyped up

Guess Berhalter’s system doesn’t involve being able to trap a ball and complete basic passes.

There’s 3, maybe 4, guys on the field right that I’d currently hope get consideration for a full 23 man roster. Everyone else looks like either fringe call in candidates or irrelevant completely.

That's not a system, that's a function of who you have available... And while there is some truth to what you say, there is still some nice play out there.

Costa Rica doesn't respect Steffan's feet. And apparently with good reason.

Well Costa Rica respects Mihailovic!!! They've fouled him from the first minute and kept at it.

Yes I was being sarcastic. Player execution was the issue. I struggled to see any good sequences in the first half. Second half much better so far.

Wow - 3 or 4 great opportunities or the US. To be fair, Costa Rica has been making subs since about 55th minute. US, more recently. But two posts and two other great looks....GOUS!!!!!
