    ES 2-2 CR.

i think, ES will play much better. especially after their last showing.

costa rica is a very good team.

Tiquisia easily takes this 4-2, maybe 4-0.

If we win it will be by 1-2 goal difference (hope we can win by at least 5 goals but ES knows if they lose it has to be by a small margin so they can at least qualify as a best 3rd place) ...ES also has too much pride to lose to Costa Rica...and i still think they played well against Mexico until Juarez lucky rebound goal. We need to be focused and go for the win from the start because if ES scores the first goal of the match...they will bunker and we have trouble playing against teams that bunker.

We need a good result against ES to cushion what could be a difficult game against Mexico.

Agreed...Mexico has a strong squad and will be tough...i'm worried about our defense though since they have only played 2 matches together...and Junior Diaz will be defending Gio and Juarez and Junior is the shittiest player i have ever seen but i hope he proves me wrong in this Gold Cup :D. Like Lavolpe said...we need to be patient and play our game...hope the experienced players like Navas, Ruiz, Sabo, Bolanos, Marshall, Diaz, and Celso lead us to an important victory since we haven't been able to beat Mexico since the Aztecaso.

Remember El Salvador did find a way to defeat los ticos in 2009.

That said, this Costa Rica squad looks much better while El Salvador looks worse.

Should be an interesting match. In '09 when they played in the Home Depot Center the crowd in blue really helped El Salvador.
There are a lot of Salvadoreans in the Carolinas and Virginia area so I expect the supporters to be in their favor once again.

Your team is not that good dude. It will be a tight game. Our speed and skills upfront should be good enough to beat you guys. El Salvador 2-0

can't blame you for being hopeful for your team but the facts are the facts and these past few years CR has been in a rebuilding phase. A phase which looks to be nearly complete. You'll find out come thursday we're not screwing around anymore.

    1-2 for El Salvador.

Should be a fun one to see. I think that our guys work real good with little space, That will help defeat the ticos.

What do you think we are going. This is a new process. We got a new coach and I don't think he is afraid to attack. This is not Rugamas coaching us. We are not going to stay back and wait to be attacked. Our best team is an offensive team. We are not a defensive team. I just hope we play to our strength and attack. Fito and alas should have a good game. I'm really looking forward to this game.

Also wish the best to Oviedo and his family.

Now then, hope Steve Purdy has a great debut and that Gilberto Baires can make an impact in place of Quintanilla.

    Que viva la Seleccion.

Gonna be a good game tomorrow. I undertsand we have a good offense that can score goals but what worries me is our defense and especially Bryan Ruiz.

I'm looking forward to this game. It should be an offensive game on both sides. This is where our tournament starts. We win 2 and we are in. We can forget about the lost to Mexico. Let's go boys, let's get it done!

You were right about the time. The start was delayed by weather.
