First training session of the summer tonight.

Ugh.

I played so bad. Pretty embarrassing.

To top it off we had to run sprints to finish the night.

We never ran sprints during training last season.

 

I used to hate that at training. You'd do all your running and then play little 5-a-side games. And then they'd get you doing sprints. I used to hate it

Yeah...it was our very first training session of the season, and we had a new trainer out there as our coach was away.

So we just did a warmup jog and played 5v5 for about 45 minutes.

Then the trainer comes over and is like "alright i'm gonna run you guys hard now."

so i stop what i'm doing and am like...okay...so where do you want us to line up.

well i guess he meant that we had to play at full speed for 5 minutes on the pitch, so a pass came back to me as i stood there daydreaming...own goal.

so i shook that off, played as hard as i had all night, and figured we were done.

NOPE!

sprints and sprints and sprints.

ugh.
