He'd been the subjects of a few posts on the Detective Work thread, and this U18 callup confirms him as a YA:

DEFENDERS (11): Jose Alfaro Jr. (Monarcas Morelia; West Chicago, Ill.), Corey Anton (FC Kaiserslautern; Wollstein, Germany), McKay Eves (RSL Arizona; Casa Grande, Ariz.), Christopher Grey (San Jose Earthquakes; San Jose, Calif.), Harold Hanson (FC Golden State; Ontario, Calif.), Mark McKenzie (Philadelphia Union; Bear, Del.), Alessandro Milesi (Shattuck-St. Mary’s; Fairbault, Minn.), Matthew Real (Philadelphia Union; Drexel Hill. Pa.), Samual Rogers (Seattle Sounders; Seattle, Wash.), Callum Stretch (Aston Villa FC; Encino, Calif.), Carson Vom Steeg (Real So Cal; Santa Barbara, Calif.)

Kaiserslautern was excited about him being called up. He is apparently sort of on the radar of the German Youth National Team as well, I think he has a U16 call up. The article talks about how he picked between transferring to Kaiserslautern or Mainz.

The upshot of the article seems to be that he's a super athlete who is still learning the game and the club is happy with how he's coming along.

The article talks about his couch is impressed of his enormously athletics. Corey is the youngest player of the team. Himself is really modest and talks about, that he has reached nothing already and has to workout always extra units to get better and better.

The U19 Team-1.FCK climbed up and is now Leader of the U19-Bundesliga. Above FC Bayern Muenchen. Winning 4 out of 5 games.

Are you related or otherwise connected to Corey in some way? (Or maybe just a fan of the club?)

Corey can't join the US National-Team, because he has no American Passport yet. The problem is his father. He doesn't support him. The parents were not married and his father left Germany after retiring the US Military in 2000.
Corey is in contact with his father now, but his father won't support him coz of his last Name (Corey has his mothers Name)-that's what he told him. Corey would be happy to play with the American Team.

He can, he just needs to gather the paperwork by himself which is made more difficult by the lack of cooperation from his father. Having a passport has nothing to do with USMNT eligibility, American citizenship does which he has. Just needs to "prove" it.

I guess the family has no clue how to do that. Does anybody knows more about that? Is there a department at the embassy in Frankfurt subserve to?

On this page there is a button to schedule an appointment. He can choose the Consulate in Frankfurt, Munich, Bremen or the Embassy in Berlin. They are really good with these cases. His is not the first. @BostonRed do you have any better insight?

That sounds like a good place to start. Undoubtedly, the consulates are very used to dealing with cases like these. He might also consider consulting an attorney with a background in US citizenship cases. There will likely be a lot of legwork required to put together a case if his father isn't willing to cooperate.

Per Transfermarkt, Anton only started one of the first 13 games for Kaiserslautern U19, but has started all five since at right back.
