What does the quality of the team have to do with Buffon being a great GK? He was being lauded for his command of the area and his ridiculous saves Do the errors that Donnarumma made today have anything to do with the quality of the team around him?
Having a better team means all the world when playing, it builds confidence and it helps you conceding less goals. I haven’t written the kid off yet.
I'm not writing him off, I'm saying he's not the next (insert whoever the ******** you want here) elite GK like everyone and their mother seems to think

I’m glad the veterans won something other than the scudetto. I’m sure this means a lot for Barzagli/Buffon/Litch this might be their last championship runs here at Juve.
In context, they're comparing how quickly both rose to #1, a real comparison won't be possible till the end of their careers. He has a lot to catch up on if he ever wants to be in the same sentence as Buffon. I love Buffon for what he represents to Italy, and hope Gigio can come, at least, close. If he were to be even better, then even better for Italy.
And some of you think Max tells them to take the foot off the pedal 4-0 up, 85 mins on the clock.... and Allegri is still expecting more.... pic.twitter.com/9Ilg5OSSsD— JuveFC (@juvefcdotcom) May 9, 2018
Licht's influence during that time is underrated. When he came we finally had a solid backline for the first time since Calciopoli. Good to see this group getting to celebrate together. Starting to feel like the end of an era as nearly all of the 7 time champs will be gone in the next year or 2.
It is pretty clear that Pirlo is NOT an Allegri fan: https://www.football-italia.net/121117/pirlo-‘hope-gattuso-gets-coppa’
