I am not a fan of any club team and couldn't care less about who wins between the two, but River Plate of Uruguay should just SHUT THE FUQ UP and STOP CRYING!

Isn't Liga going to play without Vera? So they'll be tit for tat! Liga and River (uru) without one of their stars. Case ended.

Though River seems to be a bit pissy lately about the dates and such, i'd still like to see a Cerro-River final for a change. However it's more likely that it'll end the other way around.

when will CONMEBOL ACT and start suspending teams and stadiums because of crowd behavior???

its a SHAME what happened yesterday in Cerro´s stadium. All those rocks thrown inside the pitch, etc. And it had already happened in Chile too!

In Brazil, a plastic cup thrown inside the field will result in a stadium ban, and BECAUSE OF THAT, we dont see anymore in Brazil what happens in the rest of Latin America because of the OMISSION of Conmebol!

La Conmebol actúa dependiendo del país involucrado (no es uniforme ni justa). Basta revisar los últimos 10 años.
Son viejos corruptos, obsoletos, y que dan vergüenza ajena.

    SEMIFINAL Ida:

    River Plate(URU)-LDU Quito(ECU) 2:1
    Goles de Porta(RP), E.Méndez(LDU) y Córdoba(RP).

A well deserved trip to the final for Flu. Like the saying says, "It aint over until the fat lady sings". The goal by Gum would've sealed qualification since they scored the away goal in Paraguay, but Alan's goal was icing on the cake. Nice to see them back in a final after such a dismal year.

Atleast now everyone can see what Olimpia has to go trough with these animals every season. Thankfully they got owned by the Brazilian police and where sent packing.

true, but the only one that will go unpunished.

the two Palmeiras players that exchanged TWO punches at Olimpico not only were FIRED from their teams as they will also get heavy penalties from CBF.

big fights like the ones caused by Cerro yesterday or the crowd throwing rocks in the pitch would result in HEAVY FINES AND PENALTIES by CBF. If Cerro was a brazilian club and those events happened in the brazilian league, Cerro would not be able to play at home ground for at least 5 matches and would pay a U$250k fine!

And the fight that happened yesterday in Maracanã would get at least some 5 or more Cerro players HOOKED, not able to play for at least 150 days!

and THAT is the problem... brazilians are in no way "better" than other S. Americans, the matter here is PUNISHMENT. We are still not near England levels, but we will get there eventually. But some other S.American countries seem to be stuck in the 60s, 70s...

BECAUSE their local federations dont do NOTHING in their local leagues to avoid violence inside the stadium, and CONMEBOL ALSO DOES NOTHING!

PUNISHMENT to the clubs is the only thing that resulted in brazilians behaving at stadiums. Other S. American countries and CONMEBOL should adopt the same measures.

outside stadiums brazilian fans stil dont behave... because our law is shit and punishment weak for these hooligans... but inside the stadium, the SPORT JUSTICE can punish the teams and that has fortunatelly almost finished with problems inside stadiums.

As I said earlier, throwing ONE EMPTY PLASTIC BOTTLE can result in a punishment to the team, not being able to play a match at home (or playing with empty stadium (closed gates)). What we saw at Paraguay in Cerro´s stadium, with that rain of rocks, is UNHEARD OF in Brazil for a long time, since the harsh punishments began.

    Speaking of punishment and laws.

LDU Quito players and coaching staff will likely be charged with rape followed of murder and the replay of today's match will likely be rated TV-MA.

So yeah, the final: LDU Quito vs. Fluminense FC.
