Any word on the coverage on FSE this year? In 2009 FSE held back 1 game per week for Pay-Per-View during the group stage. Will they do the same this year or will we get every game, less games, some other new approach? It was nice to get as many games as we did but 100% of the games would have been better.
Did they start giving these games in HD in south america yet? I wish we could get them here in the US in HD...
Nope not yet, it must be an issue with the digital standards. That and there isn't much interest in South America for that, because any content in HD is pretty much limited, even though HDTVs have been on sale for years...
I hope there is a way to set it up to show them in HD. Her we have fox sports en espanol, and thats where they show all the libertadores games. Fox Sports this year is finally going to start showing their Fox Soccer Channel in HD, hopefully that will get the ball rolling on adding maybe fox sports en espanol in HD maybe in time. But Mexican and argentine leagues that are shown there will need to be hopefully HD compatable to be shown on our HD. I would LOVE to get ANY latin american soccer in HD.
Wonder how many Fla games I can watch live this time around. Maybe they'll beat their record of 2 from 2 years ago.
I have a 42 inch Panasonic professional EDTV. I've been watching the Copa Libs in close to hdtv for years.
Tachira 1 - Libertad 0 and the fans were chanting "y va a caer y va a caer este gobierno va a caer" very funny

i was lookin at the schedule for FSE here in USA, regarding the week of Feb 8 , when the group stages start, and I was not very happy, they are showing only 2 games on wed, when actually there will be 4 or 5 i believe. Also, does anyone know any sites that has a more detailed, day by day schedule of Copa Libertadores ? FSE site doesn't have the schedule anymore like other years, and Conmebol site is a mess. Tnx.
I use the WIki' for the libertadores to let me know what the games are. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Copa_Libertadores

I am gonna be tuned in for sure on Wednsday for the first two games Morelia is gonna hammer Banfield no disrespect but Morelia is alittle too strong but the Monterrey vs Sao Paulo should be good I would have thought Monterrey would have taken their full squad I think that could be a mistake right their!
I'll be keeping an eye out for good streams for games for my bolivar at www.rojadirecta.com they always have good streams especially for south american games.
Since the the programming is a bit confusing i'll clarify something. In South America, the match Vélez-Cruzeiro will go on FOX Sports and at the same hour São Paulo-Monterrey on FOX Sports+, however the match on FOX SportsHD will be São Paulo-Monterrey not Vélez-Cruzeiro.
Hey, I'm not trying to be a cop but can we start another thread that talks about media coverage and just leave this thread for announcements about TV schedules. I know I should not assume that results won't be discussed in this thread, but it is nice to have threads that are safe from results for those of us who are behind a day or so on watching games. Also, the discussion of announcers, which makes sense, starts to clog up the thread, making it more difficult to find the schedules posted by River Plate for TV coverage and posted by others seeking alternatives for the games that are not shown by FSE or who might not feature quality announcing. Again, I'm not trying to dictate what happens here, I just know that last season there was 1 thread for discussion of the media coverage of games and 1 thread for the TV schedules, which was great for both needs.
