just 500km?? that quite a distance... but i agree with your point. specially coming from the south of the continent trips tend to be way longer
the CONMEBOL is an expert institution at pertaining corruption. I.E the last cat elected as president. so i am not surprised that they uphold a rating that gives credit to tournaments from like 40 years ago.. ********. i wouldn't even be surprised if Boca Juniors gets off their 8 ban game after assaulting players from an away team via pepper spray and what-not. conmebol 4 eva!!!
CONMEBOL has given Boca Juniors an amnesty. And, the vice-president of the Disciplinary Tribunal of CONMEBOL resigned in protest. He revealed receiving threats over the 8-game sanction. Boca fans can no longer mock River Plate for its 2015 Libertadores title having been won due to office decisions... and what a pathetic joke this is.
Same old $hit... I guess we have to give up hope for true change. It's hard to complain about Conmebol's corruption when our government's are the same way. Unfortunately it seems to be rooted in our South American culture...
Guarani is last in the league right now without a single win. Reason being is they sold alot of good players and never replaced them with anyone equal or better. RoRo was good in his prime but the guy is almost 40 now and way past his prime. Not to mention their coach left and got replaced by a guy who had only coached 3rd division teams before so I'm not surprised at all by them being out so soon. They sold players to Europe and Mexico, you would think they would have the money to get better players and a better coach.
1a fecha (martes 16): River Plate(URU) 2 Palmeiras(BRA) 2 Táchira(VEN) 2 Olimpia(PAR) 1 Indpte.de Sta.Fe(COL) 0 Cerro Porteño(PAR) 0
The Pumas-Emelec, 4-2 with 15 minutes to go, match of the tournament so far. End to end action, no rest. And Pumas with 10 since the 64'.
Worse Melgar, that lost at home against a Mineiro playing half the B-team. Although the worst of them all was Gremio, playing at turtle-speed and getting dominated by a 10-man Toluca.
Worried for Bolivar vs. Racing.... Bolivar has been struggling with Defensive struggles. How's Racing been? Bolivar too, is still trying to lock down their attack. So far their two big name signings (both Argentines) have been lackluster. Borghello from Huracan and Cellerino (ex NYC Cosmos and teams in Chile/Europe). I am hoping these signing, make their impact in the Libertadores where as they've struggled in Bolivia for whatever the reason... But we'll see. When Bolivar made that run in 2014, they actually were not in the greatest momments for themselves in the league either.
Funny--two 'Academia's' facing off. Bolivar's apodo is the same. Bou' is the most dangerous that they have to watch. Outside of him in the CL, I can't say I've been muched impressed. He's been fighting injury lately too. So I am hoping Bolivar can take advantage. We'll see. Should be a fun match.
Liga vs. San Lorenzo, very nice game, specially the second half with the Cuervos trying to tie it, but Liga striking super-fast in the counter. 1-0 winning the locals, with a few minutes left. PS: The Liga counters are a work of art, except for the final shot.
