Is it me, or is Boca playing better without Riquelme?

At times yes and at times like early in the 2nd half tonight they looked lost. I believe having both options is a blessing especially playing in the the torneo and Copa.

It isn't just you: it is often argued in Argentina that Boca plays better without Riquelme.

Which could hurt them on the counter. Pabon and Mosquera will be hard to handle.

Flamengo the only Brazilian team in risk of not qualifying to the next round.

It also sets-up for no Brazilian on Brazilian crime, unlike in the past where they would eliminate each other in the 2nd round.

With the results right now Lanus and Flamengo are in. One goal by Olimpia or Emelec would eliminate Flamengo.

Emelec scores; 2-1. If Olimpia doesn't tie, Flamengo is out.

Flamengo blew it when they wasted that 3-0 lead at home.

Yet another reason why it's the best tournament in the world. What an awesome sequence. Starting the game today it was Olimpia, then Flamengo, then Olimpia, then Flamengo, then Emelec, then Flamengo and finally Emelec.

Sucks for Flamengo, but what a "guapeada" by Emelec in Paraguay. Amazing!

Amazing ending to Group 2, since there were 3 teams playing for 1 spot. Only Group 7 has a similar situation (Quito, Defensor, Chivas).
