Not a good result in my opinion, a good result would have been a tie, that would mean 1 point all around. And i still think this is going to be the toughest group. So far however, Colo Colo has played the worst.. I'm sure they will pick it up at home.
No they won't. I told you punks not to put your money on Colo-Colo. The Colo-Colo bubble has burst, they lost all their good players: Vidal, Valdivia, Alexis, Suazo, Matias and recently Giovanni. Only the rubbish ones are left (I am talking to you Fierro and Rubio!) perhaps Riffo is the only decent one left. I think Catolica is the strongest Chilean team out there (I can't believe I said that.)
They're tied for 1st in Chile (alongside U. de Chile and U. Catolica). Neither one of the 3 has been very impressive, and point-wise Colo Colo may not be struggling but I am sure you saw the game yesterday and the team looked pretty bad (being generous). I would be shocked--I repeat shocked--if Colo Colo make it to 2nd round. Our only hope (Chilean hope, I mean) is U. Catolica who at various times outplayed America and were rather unfortunate to lose (though credit is due to America for winning). Metro
La Catolica made a smart move by getting Dario Botinelli over from Racing he's able to adapt into various roles when needed. Highlights of the America vs. Universidad Catolica (with better commentating) Colo Colo bought the Paraguayan Salcedo over from Racing at a relatively high price and he has yet to show. He was influential in giving up the third goal last night. He needs to take some cues from his older brother Santiago that plays in Newells. Check out this goal against San Lorenzo. 1. From San Lorenzo. 2. The problem with Salcedo is that he was signed to fill in for Melendez as a DM, but as he's lefty and Cereceda and Sagredo were not available (NT commitments) he's been filling in for them. That's not his ideal position. What a waste of US$2 mill. (CC has all this money most South American team dream of one having yet they're not able to spend it correctly). Metro
1. Referring to the last team Dario Botinelli was associated with which is Racing Club even though San Lorenzo holds him. 2. No argument there yet he was poor in the defensive cover that led to the third goal.
I am almost 100% the last team he played for is San Lorenzo. Salcedo came from Racing Club, though. Metro
http://es.eurosport.yahoo.com/03012...centrocampista-argentino-dario-botinelli.html http://www.clarin.com/diario/2007/08/21/um/m-01483072.htm The majority of his young playing career has been San Lorenzo, but he was tranferred over to Racing Club in 2007 and hardly recieved any playing time. Since then he has been transferred over to La Catolica. Ramon Diaz supposedly didn't have room for him in San Lorenzo where his older brother plays as a defender, and Racing Club has Maxi Moralez to fill that position who was away over in Russia on a one year loan and is now back.
Well his transfer pass came from San Lorenzo. And as he never got any PT at Racing, my last recollection of him was with the Cuervo team. Metro
Where are the commentators from? I am Mexican and I will the first to admit that the Mexican commentators in FoxSports are the worst ever, I like Jorge Ramos in that channel, whether you like him or not, he puts a lot of feeling to the goals regardless of what country the team that score is from. you don't have to agree, it's just my opinion ..
Congratulations to the mexican zorros, from a chilean zorro What a mistake Riffo!! Colocolo hace más de 10 años que no hace una Libertadores aceptable. Se mantiene la costumbre nomás. I agree. El relator es argentino.
I hope Flamengo goes far, I'll be cheering for them after meu querido SPFC of course. Obina, melhor que o Eto'o
What a horrible week for Chilean teams. I see none of them getting past the groups phase. Also, it seems Borgui will never learn how to play against Mexican teams. Can't remember the last time Colo Colo didn't come back with a sack full of goals from Mexico.
