Group 4 Nacional 1 - 0 Coronel Bolognesi Nacional: 3-0-2 (6/4, +2) 9 Cienciano: 2-1-1 (4/3, +1) 7 Flamengo: 2-1-1 (4/4, 0) 7 Coronel Bolognesi: 0-2-3 (0/3, -3) 2
Hah, Flamengo-Cienciano that's gonna be a match to watch. At last Group 8 which at first some of us, me included, thought was going to be the group of death was the one to be definied sooner than any other. What's left now, to define who will finish 1st and who will finish 2nd.
Add Cruzeiro to the qualified teams There has been some fantastic games lately in the Copa Libertadores, even the SPFC vs Luqueno game with Luqueno putting 9 men on defense was exciting just trying to see Sao Paulo trying to break Luqueno's defense. I said it before and Ill say it again, Copa Libertadores >>>>>>>>>>>>> Champion's league
I agree. There has been plenty of games this year that featured two big European powerhouses going against each other and ended up being an extremely boring game to watch. Both Liverpool vs. Inter games and Arsenal vs. Milan games are just some examples.
Group 1 Cruzeiro 3 - 1 San Lorenzo Cruzeiro: 3-2-0 (10/2, +8) 11 Caracas FC: 2-1-2 (6/8, -2) 7 San Lorenzo: 2-1-2 (5/7, -2) 7 Real Potosí: 1-0-4 (6/10, -4) 3
i third that comment the passion, excitement and thrill of the Copa Libertadores is by far way better than Champions League. too many times the big clubs in the Champions play too cautious. the only really exciting game I remember this year was the Real Madrid v. Roma games but thats about it
Group 7 Atlético Nacional 1 - 1 Audax Italiano São Paulo: 2-2-0 (5/3, +2) 8 Atlético Nacional: 1-2-1 (5/3, +2) 5 Audax Italiano: 1-1-2 (4/5, -1) 4 Sportivo Luqueño: 1-1-2 (3/6, -3) 4
Interesting result. Looks like SPFC will probably qualify, but it's all up in the air on who else will advance.
Well Cruzeiro had a bit of luck, just watch the 1st goal and the 3rd goal, those were very messed up plays. So now Caracas has another chance, they must get at least a tie against San Lorenzo to qualify, San Lorenzo has to win no matter what to advance.
Same applies to argie squads,a bit of luck and of course much help from the refs, and don't forget to include los lambones de Closs and Niembro!
Have you actually watched this Libertadores at all? Argentine clubs have gotten some very bad calls against them. Especially Boca.
Yeah its funny how every team in the group besides SPFC have only gotten 1 win. Luqueno has a slight advantage over the other two as their last 2 games are at home against those teams and they got both games against SPFC out of the way but anything can happen.
I just said Cruzeiro was lucky in that match, and i don't think argentine sides have been helped by referees that much this time, namely Boca Juniors, and seriously Niembro and Closs can speak out of their ass constantly but they don't help anyhow.
San Lorenzo - CaracasFC - April 17th, 2008 in Argentina This is gonna be a good game These game is going to decide which one of the 2 teams goes to the 2nd round. CaracasFC just needs to tie the game San Lorenzo has to win Here's a video of the 1st game CaracasFC 2-0 San Lorenzo
Group 3 Atlas 3 - 1 Boca Juniors Atlas: 3-1-1 (10/5, +5) 10 Boca Juniors: 2-1-2 (9/9, 0) 7 Colo Colo: 2-0-2 (8/8, 0) 6 UA Maracaibo: 0-2-2 (3/8, -5) 2
I remember Boca had a similar situation last year, where their final group stage match was against a weak, already eliminated squad, and they won by what? 5 or 6 to nothing? Well, Colo Colo will probably destroy Maracaibo by a few goals this Thursday, so it'll get down to goal differential on the last round.
