Recent history: we just broke the curse and we're playing well (sorry, I leave the more thorough details to VEB's great threads):
    Curse breaker:

    We're in third place:
    overall 19 12 5 2 51 17 home 5 3 1 23 7 away 7 2 1 28 10 gd and pts overall 34 41
    They are in fifth place
    overall 19 11 2 6 31 25 home 6 2 2 16 12 away 5 0 4 15 13 gd and pts overall 6 35

    Someone else's prediction:

My thoughts today on the end of the first leg thread:
I don't know if @Viscaelbarca is still jammed up but I will try to start a thread after my work day ends and kids are in bed if none is up by then for tomorrow's return leg.

The big question is that we have two injured starters, both midfielders, and a third injured midfielder as well: Iniesta, Busquets, and Rafinha.

But we still have one mostly still regular starter, Rakitic, who might be played out of position as DM but who should play no matter where. We also have far more depth this season having signed back Suarez and newly signed Gomes. We also have two defenders who could play in midfield, Roberto if we started Vidal at RB, or Masch at DM if we started Pique and Umtiti or Mathieu as CBs. So still lots of choices.

I really liked Rakitic's play at DM when Busquets went out so I'd start with that. Then Denis gets one of the other spots, I'd say right side (Raki's usual spot), then I'd put Arda in at Iniesta's spot. While I think Denis plays a bit better on the left than right, I like the creativity Arda brings to the Ini position. No one really replaces Ini but Arda can take on players in a way we don't see other Barca mids (besides Ini) do. Gomes is not dead to me but he has been less impressive than the others; however, Lucho probably starts him, oh well.

In D we could keep rotating, so after Eibar (Alba-Math-Umtiti-Roberto) that would mean Digne-Masch-Pique-Vidal here, but I don't think Lucho will rotate quite that much.

Up front I don't expect anything but MSN till we hopefully get a couple goals and can sub on Paco.

Final prediction: moving away from what I'd like to see to what I expect to see from Lucho, yeah, I 100% agree with the prediction in the graphic above:
    Jasper
    Vidal-PK-Masch-Digne
    Raki-Gomes-Denis
    M-S-N

Give Gomes a short leash please and bring on either Roberto or Turan if we have problems, in Roberto's case he plays DM, in Turan's case move Raki there, but only if we are not winning. If we are winning Paco on for Suarez or Messi, and maybe get Mathieu on again for more PT/confidence.

    We win 2-0.

Mods please sticky. VEB we miss you.

3 bookings in Copa = 1 Copa tie suspension.

Umtiti is the only Barca player carrying two yellows into this match. If he receives a yellow today he will miss Barca's next match in the Copa, be it this season's semifinal first leg or next season's first leg of the 4th Round (aka Round of 32).

Given the 3 injuries (Ini, Busi, Rafi) the squad list named itself. 22 man squad, less 3 injured = 19, then rest one keeper, usually that is Masip, but, this being CdR MAtS is rested and Masip is Jasper's backup. So this is it:
Speaking of Masip, I read that they want to re-sign Masip for another year (he's out of contract in June). I supposed I can understand him wanting to stay at a world class team where he probably makes as much (or more) as 3rd keeper as he might starting in a much smaller squad in Liga or Segunda, plays with the best players, physios, coaches, travels first class, etc. but doesn't he want to start? And couldn't we call on a Barca B keeper if anything happened to our first two? I mean Masip was great leading Barca B to Segunda but looked awful in Doha. Just let him go.

Masch as DM never worked for us. Raki played his best game in months when he replaced Busquets last game. Lucho is extremely party pooper it's not even funny!

Regardless, we will win but was looking forward to see how Raki will do as a DM.

That's Neymar's second booking of the tournament. (He received a yellow in the first leg last week.)

Vela fouled Neymar, Ney got up and went towards Vela, Vela pushed Ney away, Ney returned, leaned into Vela's face and yelled, Vela slapped Ney away, yellow for both.
The other was for a foul, forgot who was involved.

    Edit:
Yuri Berchiche pushed Denis while chasing loose ball.

What a sequence. Jasper saves from point blank range, Barca counter and Neymar fouled in box. Penal.

Messi sets up Suarez to make it 3-1 , now all we need is a goal from Neymar to finish things up

Play by play (espn) said Alba got carded too before Yuri got his yellow. Maybe he came to Neymar's defense?

5-2 , Arda then Denis score , i still can't figure out how that Useless Gomes is ahead of Denis when it comes to starting in La liga and the CL , heck he is ahead of even Rakitic now

Nice 9 minute extended highlights with Phil and Ray:

I looked for another extended one in English without Phil and Ray (I know they are a divisive crew) but cannot find.

Exactly. I would think in this case upper management should interfere. The player cost the club 18m + 3.5m salary P.A and has a contract until 2020 + he is performing well when he play, so why he is not properly used? If Lucho is paying all that from his own pockets then I'll understand.
