What happen if today Argentina/Qatar draw 1-1?

Can we end the Ecuador game with a draw and have some chance to qualify?

    NOPE.
    We can't anyway.

We can qualify with a draw if Colombia defeats Paraguay by 4-goals difference or more.

With tonight’s results (Paraguay and Qatar both losing against Colombia and Argentina, respectively), a win for Japan by any result against Ecuador will see Japan reach the quarterfinals to face Brazil.

A draw will see both Japan and Ecuador eliminated, and a win by Ecuador will see Ecuador through to the quarterfinals.

Good boost for Japan is that Ecuador’s first-choice CB was sent-off against Chile, which might mean that Japan will face a weakened Ecuadorian defence.

It is all set for Japan to record their first ever win in Copa America and their first win in a South American soil in a senior-level official competition. Not to mention a place in Copa America QFs.

Let’s hope they will not ruin the chance.

I love the idea that both teams need to win.
It will be a nice match, now it's up to Moriyasu to predict the right lineup and don't made any mistakes with the subs.

I would prefer to avoid believing strongly that we can qualify.
Never forget it's not our main goal, but only a great bonus.

I'm going to make it like against Uruguay just watch the game without putting too much pressure on myself by telling myself that it's just a good bonus that he's going to make it to the quarter-finals

    Starting line-up (written):
    Kawashima.
    Iwata - Ueda - Tomiyasu - Sugioka.
    Shibasaki - Itakura.
    Miyoshi - Kubo - Nakajima.
    Okazaki.

One change from last match: Kubo in for Abe.

As I said in an earlier post: I have concerns about Kubo’s physicality, and that he might neutralised and bullied physically by the Ecuadoreans.

The lineup is the same but Abe that was useless again Uruguay.
I think Kubo in his worst can't be worst than how Abe was.
And don't forget that this can be JNT last Copa America match and the fanboys wanna see Take-chan on the field.

Emphatic confirmation of the goal by VAR. It looked like Okazaki's arms might have been beyond the last defender but most people interpret this as onside as the hands "don't count".

Wtf happened to Kawashima and defenders? Against the like of Chile/Urugay/Brazil it would be 1-3.

Nakajima keep trying to be the Captain Tsubasa of the match like someone cares about him that choose Qatar over Europe.

Kubo is too much flulff and no crunch, it's amazing see him dancing between ecuadorians but it's useless too.

Miyoshi need to step up asap.

Itakura seems very good despite the bad beginning with Uruguay. I think he has the physicality, height and age to be a good improvement for senior JNT midfield.

If this is the better we can do let's go Paraguay to Brazil slaughterhouse.
