That's Saturday June 11 at 9:00 P.M. and there's no NASCAR event at that time. Could there be a UFC event?
I just looked it up. Cleveland Indians vs. LA Dodgers starts at 10PM ET on FS1.: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/official_info/broadcasts/national.jsp
They couldn't get the affiliates clear spots for the matches. I assume the challenge was especially for Pacific time zone and Mountain zone affiliates. But, most of the games on the weekends and the Final should have been on FOX. FS1 will get a lot of traction during those 3 weeks, and so from a business point of view, it makes sense. But, it seems like FOX didn't push the envelope too much for maximum exposure.
Who cares if the matches are on FOX or FS1? I mean really.... as long as they're in HD and not on some inaccessible channel like FS+ or a dodgy streaming channel.
FS1 is on the standard tv packages though. The same ones that you need to get ESPN1. I mean, come on.... if you don't have FS1 its because you don't care for sports of any kind.
FS1 is basic most of the time, but I went to relatives where FS1 wasn't a basic channel. They got ESPN, ESPN2, the New York regional sports networks, and NBCSN, but not FS1. I was able to watch what I wanted on Fox Sports Go.
http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/sto...cing-teams-for-copa-america-centenario-051016 Very underwhelming.
Fox has signed four "pillar" sponsors for the Copa America: Sprint, VW, Budweiser and Coke. Ads "very well sold." https://t.co/vuCte7E51L— John Ourand (@Ourand_Puck) May 19, 2016
What stood out for me there, and I did not know this, some fox games will be called from studio with no on-site callers... Can they get any cheaper?

I understand espn using studio callers for the euro since its a different continent, but the fact that the copa is in the us makes fox look really cheap.
Commentator assignments for @foxsoccer and @fdpradio for the #ca2016 group stage: https://t.co/L4sM1dO328 via @phillysport— Jonathan Tannenwald (@thegoalkeeper) June 4, 2016 I do not have @Univisionsports' full commentator assignments yet. I gather they've got a small army of people here tonight.— Jonathan Tannenwald (@thegoalkeeper) June 4, 2016 Friday, June 3 - 9:30 pm ET - A1-United States vs A2-Colombia - Levi's Stadium - Santa Clara, CA. Commentators - Fox Sports 1 - John Strong-Brad Friedel-Kyndra de St. Aubin. Univision-UniMás-Univision Deportes - Pablo Ramírez-Ramses Sandoval-Marcelo Balboa-Jesús Bracamontes. Fútbol de Primera - Andrés Cantor-Steve Sampson-Carlos Valderrama-Rosa Beatriz Sánchez-Worley.
They could have more than one crew "The Copa America field includes a wealth of recognized stars, from Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Colombia’s James Rodriguez to Mexico’s Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and Brazil’s Kaka. That could make nearly every game must-see TV." Not so near.
Coming to the above conversation about using Fox network late, but I can say that living in the Midwest, I hate it when the execs put games on the big networks. Any minor weather change is an excuse for the news teams to flood the screen with maps of weather systems and scrolling information about what's happening. There's no alternative options when ESPN uses ABC or Fox programs a game on the main channel. Univision at least has an alternative for me with the En Espanol package on DTV and I can go the 400 channel.

I just noticed this but Univision has offered a SAP alternate feed during their coverage. I was able to hear tonight's Colombia game with Colombian commentators. Great decision on their behalf. I kinda wish they still had the World Cup rights with this bright idea.
