Time flies quickly since the WC, less than 7 months left before Copa kick off.

I think regardless the group draw, the likes of Brazil, Colombia and Chile will make it to the knockout stage. Uruguay looks good with Suarez, but without him and Forlan they're will not be Brazil if they meet.

Tatas tenure depends on the performance in Copa , lets hope he win it and march towards 2018 WC

I think for now we should be focusing on all friendlies leading up to Copa. I'm still not sold on the idea of having Tevez back. We need a real poacher or we will look the same like the 2007 final again if we meet Brazil.

Our frontlines has not been clicking well since the qualifier's over. Sometimes the number of chances and possession we have simply dont match our goal number.

If everything goes according to expected results, then we will play a 3rd place team in the QF, Brazil in the semis (with the other semi being Chile-Colombia), and possibly Chile in the final.

How many friendlies do we play before the Copa? The ones in March, and then June, right? That's it. Not much time at all. I hope we understand that we have to take every friendly with all seriousness, because the team is not clicking.

The problem is, Tata is clearly trying to install a new style that totally differs from what Sabella's doing, and in a space of one year (without qualifier), it would be hard to have a strong team by then. Hopefully I'm wrong but if Tata is trying to build the team for 2018 WC, then he shouldnt be fired if we fail at CA (off course we need to reach semifinal at least or he'll be replaced.)

Like it or not, Brazil did look good under Dunga so far. I know they also look good under Scolari prior to the WC but Dunga's tactic always trumps their South American opponent.

What's up with Mexico getting rid of their traditional green home jerseys for Copa America, instead replacing them with strange black kits?

It is somewhat normal for teams to mess around with their away jersey designs for marketing purposes, but it very odd to see them pick such a random home jersey.. It's as if Argentina and Brazil decided to just show up to CA with orange and red home jerseys out of no where, just shitting on tradition and logic.

As for their away kit, at least it kinda represents them since white is one of the colors on their flag (unlike black, which is just very random), but the jersey looks like some extra, cheap, plain t-shirts Adidas had laying around and just decided to embroider Mexico's logo on..

I wonder what the Mexican fans think?

I watch the Europa League Final right now and Banega once again is playing very well. His cross led to the goal for Sevilla. He should no doubt make the cut.

Banega taking CK's like Riquelme from the 06 World Cup. Solid game all around for him, team is up 3-2 with 10 minutes to go. Gets a standing ovation from the fans as he exits.

On a side note, Pékerman better start Bacca instead of El Tigre.

Orbán should've made the cut IMO. But like Sabella, Tata will have his favorites. He's got so many attackers, I am not sure where he is going to play all of them. There will be those that won't get game time. Then again, we win our first 2 games, I could see Tata playing a second choice team vs the reggae boyz.

Any way , from the list we have may attacking minded midfielders , and i think masch and biglia wont start together biglia will be a back up for mascherano.

i think tata will be partenring banega with mascherano.

    zaba---Nico---Garay--Rojo

    ---Masch--Banega---pastore-

    --Messi----Kun-----dimaria

Lokks fine though if banega give good support to masch in defense.

I think lamela or lavezzi will be used as sub for dimaria

Another great performance without Messi. Its kinda odd that Di Maria gave another performance like he did against Germany after the World cup. Could it be because Di Maria is the better when he's given a free role ? You can see how chaotic his performance when we lost to Brazil few months ago. He's popping up everywhere but no great crosses or passing. We ended up having two free roaming attacking players and its somewhat ruining the balance of the team instead.

I suggest Tata to deploy Angelito the way Sabella did.

    I prefer Biglia over Banega
    Enzo over Gago by far...

I still think Higuain needs to be up there. In fact, I think he is the reason Sabella's counter-attack worked so well. Aguero needs to redeem himself for last year's horrible performance.

    Positive note: no palacio

Regarding the back four; did Tata not play Zabaleta b/c he (Zaba) already has the starting spot as the RB?
Love to see the Zabaleta-Otamendi-Garay-Rojo. IMO, the easiest decision to make on the starting 11.
