Technically right ... but such a rough call. Ball was going in and involuntarily hit Firmino.

Venezuela has given up 4 goals in this Copa America. All taken away by VAR!

so the ball grazing on someone is good enough to cancel a goal but not an offside. I wish they'd do away with VAR, breaks the flow the game too much and at the end of the day most plays still come down to subjective interpretation of the rules.

I would like to see a rule change on that 2nd goal. Ref had no other option given the rules right now.

It definitely feels like the handball changes, offside changes, and the emphasis on staying on your line on PKs might see some revision. There has been plenty of "technically right" but against the spirit of the game feeling in this Summer's cups.

I don't have a problem with VAR as an idea but the way it's implemented is ridiculously slow and it doesn't have to be.

No need for VPN. Globo Internacional is showing Copa America in the United States.

Both offside goals today just weren't called in real time just because the linesman didn't see it. Perfect example of some calls being too tough for them to get it right. I really don't see anything that has changed other than getting the call right even. If there was no VAR and they weren't called, we'd hear a lot of complaints about blown calls.

I do agree VAR needs to be faster in some instances. Specifically offside calls.

Tite needs to find the setup up front that provides the best chemistry. I would have subbed Firmino out and let Everton, GJ, Neres play.

Why was your 2nd goal ruled out? Even if it hit Firmino, I think there was a Venezuelan defender on the line, plus the goalie’s hands seemed to be behind Firmino.

I only saw one replay— it didn’t look offside to me.

It looked like the goalkeeper was even with Firmino depending on when you froze it, but they decided he wasn't.

There was only 1 player in between Firmino and the goal line, therefore he was ruled offside.

Firmino bad game, he is no camisa 9.
    Cebolinha needs to start.
VAR fuked up big time. Getting difficult to get used to VAR.
Anyway, still looked a little better than against Bolivia.

Don’t think the game was that bad . Seen a lot worse . We got plenty of food penetration in the wings and even through the middle . We just don’t have a consistent goal scorer at this point .

Peru will be better than Venezuela and Bolivia , but they also shouldn’t bunker unless they change their tactics . A draw and we will be through at the very least as 2nd place. Most likely 1st unless Venezuela torches Bolivia .

We could used some creativity from the wing which so far has come from Everton and he will probably start.

Firmino and Coutinho has both been poor. Firmino should be dropped.
