apparently, there's going to have some indepth interviewing, press conference, and video coverage. i'm not into paying a pound to get all that stuff out, however this is a heads-up to anyone who thinks they know how to link it to the BS boards. you know...for the benefit of the Sum. ;)

Depending on what the schedule looks like on Friday, I may be able to listen to this live. I would like to but just have to wait and see what is on tap for the day.

In the promo, the feed will include:

"-Exclusive footage of his medical at Madejski Stadium last week"

    Wow.

Reading really seems to be emphasizing Bobby's goal scoring abilities with every press release. I'm a Bobby fan, but...um....have these folks seen any of his shots this year??

Press releases emphasizing that he works hard at both ends (geez, sounds like a porn star :D ) and has a really quick first step don't sell as well.
Reading, with Goater, Forster, Kitson, up front and Sidwell and Hughes in the mid have a fair number of players who can score. What they need is someone who can link and possess, bring some width. they should be excited about convey. He's a really nice fit.

Yah but it won't be a pay-per-view event like Beckham's medical at Real Madrid..
This was a record transfer for Reading and a lot of the fans have high expectations.. The club is trying to remind them it takes time to settle in and adjust to a move like this so hopefully they'll give him that time but perhaps, he'll be fine from the start..

Bobby was the eager beaver and arrived a day early. The press conference to unveil the new Reading international was this morning.

Dont know if it has been mentioned yet but Convey is doubtful for the Man City preseason match on August 2. More likely is a debut against Brighton, August 6.

New signing battling to be fit

Does anybody have a clip of Bobby's GOLAZO from the U20 world championships? That's all they need to know.

You heard the joke about the Cajun who sells a race horse that "don't look too good"?

Bobby looks like the 5th Beatle w/that haircut (cue Oasis music)...

I don't think him playing in MLS all-star game is good idea at all..don't wear the boy out before he begin the hard training of integration the next couple weeks...let him get off on a good foot for the club (the All-Star game will be quickly forgotten).

He can come back next summer for a 'fare-well'

He won't be in the AllStar game. Alternates have already been selected for both Bobby and DeMarcus, as well as two players out with injury.

As long as the chicks dig it, he'll keep the Beatle mop. I take it they dig it, at least in the States -- but there is no hard evidence one way or the other.

I don't think he's playing in the all star game, i was at the press conference today, I talked with bobby today, and this wasn't mentioned at all. He was having a fitness test today to see how his leg was, and it was suggested he might make an appereance on monday night, not very likely if he's in DC over the weekend.

That article is a bit out of date that was quoted.

Does anyone else kinda wish Bobby ended up in the Netherlands too? That would seem like a perfect fit to me and great for Bobby's development.

What is the general consensus on Reading, for Bobby?

Profiled, what's the press box like there at Reading?

I'm looking forward to hitting that place up in a week for the game on the 7th :D

We didn't go into the press box, the press conference was at a suite in the connected hotel, and then we went straight to the field.

    {rolleyes}

Oh I'm happy for Bobby and I don't undervalue the fact that both parties are pleased with the match. For instance I think San Jose might be a fine place for Landon.

I'm assuming however, most US Nats fans would've preferred Spurs for Bobby's development, or a top Dutch team. Would love to hear otherwise.
