Getting word Toronto FC has acquired @TBoyd91 from Darmstadt in German second flight. Awaiting additional details or any official word. #tfc #mls— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) January 31, 2019
Can confirm on my end that Toronto FC has acquired Terrence Boyd. Hearing it's a minimal deal. Should be seen as a depth player first and foremost. #TFCLive— Joshua Kloke (@joshuakloke) January 31, 2019

wonder if he's Ricketts's replacement? I actually think he should have left in Summer. Reality they only extended for a year to use Boyd as a back up option. Once their injured striker returned and everyone was fit, his role at Darmstadt shrunk. Makes sense that he left.
Yes, and a pretty obvious replacement in the XI for whenever Jozy misses one of the 15 games he'll miss this season.
Yes, he is depth and they needed someone to replace Rickett's. Will be interesting to see if he can get a decent amount of playing time, stay healthy, etc.
I've always liked Boyd. Injuries set him back but when healthy he can always play on my team. Cyclops roams MLS!
My latest for @Sportsnet I chatted with #TFC newcomer Terrence Boyd - "I’m one of those guys ... [who] just puts my body into everything. I just go out and kill people in the name of the team. You will see."@TBoyd91 @torontofc https://t.co/DXstmSW5gK— John Molinaro (@JohnMolinaro) February 7, 2019 Another article https://torontosun.com/sports/socce...the-goal-and-a-huge-personality-to-toronto-fc
