Is Conor in the running for a call-up v. Ireland and Croatia? I'm guessing not. His team is currently in last place in the Austrian league.

Has he ever been close to a non-winter call up?

Kind of a good news, bad news situation for O'Brien. The good is that he has quickly established himself as a regular, the bad is that his team is buried in last place.

He's making his ninth straight start today, but they're already down 2-1 early.

Unfortunately Conor signed for a really bad team. If his plan was to get noticed by Andreas Herzog, I don't think it's working.

O'Brien with the start and the second goal today, up 2-0 late against the second-place team.

Still in last place, but all they need to avoid relegation is for one team to fall behind them.

Two weeks later, a very similar story. O'Brien scored, and they won 2-0 over the team that was in third place.

Very real chance of survival now, only one point away from escaping the drop zone.

I wish all Austrian teams were nicknamed the Dogs. Then yesterday's game would've been Wiener Dogs vs Horn Dogs.

Any chance Conor comes home if Wiener goes down?

COB went 90 in a wild one today. Neustadt was up 2-0 at HT then fell behind 3-2 before snatching a late point.

Interesting that he left Denmark for Austria. I guess they offered him a better salary.

Looks like Neustadt caught a good break today, as a first half PK+red put them up 1-0, which was also the final score. O'Brien converted the PK for them.

The team they're chasing blew the lead in min 90, so Neustadt is now only one point back.

    There.

A bottom feeder in A-BLiga? Probably in the mid-$100's.

Good news: O'Brien and Neustadt finally escaped the relegation zone today with a 3-1 road win.

$70k gross, including everything would be pretty good. He's got healthcare and he'll have (probably shared) accommodation. Maybe a sponsor will throw in a car, but that'll be a 5-year-old Golf or a Passat at best.

He could break $100k plus the above as benefits if he moves up to Rapid or Austria Vienna.
