Results of the draw made today :

    Group A

    Argentina
    Brazil
    Colombia
    Ecuador
    Peru

    Group B

    Venezuela ( no Deyna )

    Uruguay
    Chile
    Bolivia

Group A with Brazil , Colombia and Argentina as host are favorites. Group B very even , Uruguay, Chile played well in a tournament in Argentina a few weeks ago with USA. Uruguay reached the second place. Venezuela and Paraguay always give good battles in U17 tournaments..... l

Apparently, the city government of San Juan, Argentina will have live streams for this tournament.

    Its Youtube channel is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJM0vXxotCWVHJCJJ1hBbqQ

    Brazil beat Ecuador 1-0.

Colombia is winning 0-2 against Argentina, on the 2nd half:

Weird neckline choice on Argentina's kit.

Well, Argentina could have started as hosts ad "favorites", but they aren't making a great impression, it seems!:coffee:

Argentina is overrated . it is not like 10 years ago when Argentina had competitive teams in all of the women categories here in South America I would dare to say that even Ecuador is doing better work than Argentina with women's soccer

Sadly those are women's replica shirts.I am sure a cost cutting choice. Maybe also a hope that more males will be interested.

Penny-pinching Argentinian federation is at it again.

Players from 4 squads suffered from gastroenteritis during the 3rd match date (Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay).

It reminds me of food poisoning during Women's Copa Libertadores in Paraguay (October 2017).

A few matches were postponed. The new match calendar is:

Wow! Can it be a sign of anything? A weaker generation than the previous ones? Lack of support by federation starts stinging? Meaningless loss for an already qualified team instead? :cautious:

Just errors from Brazilian defender Lauren: responsible for Colombia's early goal, sent off with a straight red before half-time.

Most likely, Lauren will be benched during the next phase.

Wow, what a disastrous game from this Lauren! :x3:

Who is she in the photo? What's her number?

You say she will likely benched, but wouldn't she serve a suspension anyway for her direct RC? :cautious:

Lauren Leal is her full-name, central defender, wears #14.

She had a mare yesterday against her rival Natalia Ramirez. The latter scored after Lauren failed to protect the ball (7'), and got Lauren sent off (43').

    Brazil - Colombia, full match:
    Timestamps on video:
14m18s - Brazil moves ball all the way back, Colombia steals ball and scores.
50m22s - Again, Brazil moves ball all the way back, Lauren fouls Natalia as last defender, gets red card.

Brazil's coach made lineup changes against both Peru and Colombia, to test other players like Lauren. It might be risky to field Lauren against better rivals during the next phase.

    It ain't no lie.

Yesterday, Argentina beat Peru 2-0. It is Argentina's first victory in 13 matches for this youth category. Its previous victory was 4-3 vs Bolivia in 2012.

Colombia closed its participation in Group A with perfect score of 4 victories. Yesterday, it won 3-1 against Ecuador.

Looking forward to tonight's Group B closing matches:
Uruguay - Chile @ 5pm US Eastern time
Bolivia - Venezuela @ 7.15pm US Eastern time

Uruguay confirmed as a winner of group B after beating Chile 1-0. Uruguay will be a decent competitor in the World Cup they organize this year .

Chile is waiting for a miracle , the only way they take a spot in the next round if Bolivia defeats Venezuela 2-0

Argentina tied almost at the end of the game with Ecuador 2-2 in final game of group A . Both are out. On the other Group (B) Venezuela without troubles defeats Bolivia 4-0.

Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela qualified to the final round. The top 2 go to World Cup, if Uruguay is one of them, the third placed team get the ticket !

No , in this final round each contestant meets all other contestants in turn .

By the way . It was the first time Uruguay win over Brazil in a U17 Conmebol Tournament
