The Conmebol Ranking is the most excitement confederation by top10. Universidad de Chile continue to be first team here, but is in battle with many clubs for this place.... every foul in Copa Libertadores can change the leader.

Atletico Mineiro, Atletico Nacional and Corinthians wait for errors by Chilian leader to take their place. All clubs from top10 which play in Copa Libertadores have chance to finish first at the end of 2015, if they will win the trophy.

You must beat The Strongest in Copa Libertadores this week, to keep first place. If not, on 19 March you can lose first position if Atletico Mineiro will beat Santa Fe

 

Yah, but is very hard now because Emelec have 6 points from 6 possible.... and if we think that Internacional will qualify anyway, then, you must finish before Emelec You must beat them in second match, in Ecuador to qualify. I see your last match in group is 22 April, even in Ecuador, against Emelec

To be honest, I don't know how U de Chile finished first team in Conmebol Ranking ) Probably because your team played very well in Chilian League and earn many points from there .... because in continental competitions, only Copa Sudamericana 2011 was a succesfull for you

but, Corinthians play very well and they have chances to qualify in next round. I don't know what happening with Atletico Mineiro. Atletico Meddellin have a sensitive group (with Libertad and Estudiantes), so, I can't do any predict about it. Velez play just Primera Division, so no chances until the end.

Shakhtar, Juve and PSG play in Round of 16 UEFA Champions League. But 2/3 (if not all) can leave the competition now. With a qualification in next round of Copa Libertadores, you can reach top10

You can reach top10 and without qualification, if you will obtain 3 victories in last 3 matches ( will give you 3 x 9 x 2 pts = 54 total pts), BUT PSG must lose their last match in UCL in London, against Chelsea (and i'm sure they will do that So, PSG will remain with 1372.70 pts, and you will made 1374.46 pts. If you obtain 3/3 now, this will result your qualification (with 12 points in group you are 100% qualify, because no team have no 0 points now). For qualification will receive 28 x 2 = 56 total points, So, U de Chile can reach 1430.46 pts at the end of Copa Libertadores groups stage (ahead all these european clubs)

Boca is in top10 San Lorenzo or Sao Paulo, definitelly one of both will be in top10. I hope both Sao Paulo can win Paulista League and can earn some important points. For Santos FC, this is vital, to remain in top10.

Nacional Meddellin is so high due of their results in Colombia (7 trophies in last 5 years) and last edition of Copa Libertadores (2014), when they reached quarterfinals and Copa Sudamericana (2014) when reached the final.

So, after San Lorenzo (Copa Libertadores Champion) and River Plate (Copa Sudamericana Champion), Atletico Nacional made the best performance for a South American team, with 2 high results in both continental competitions. With 2014's performance, Atletico Nacional will be alive in the top of CONMEBOL for a time.

 

SC CORINTHIANS PAULISTA​

they are new leader for CONMEBOL after a perfect start in Copa Libertadores (4 victories from 4 matches). With big chances to qualify for Round of 16 and win Paulista league, they can increase the distance ahead 2nd place.

Yep, Mineiro.

Will be a internal battle between Corinthians and Atletico Mineiro for first place. Both are qualified for final phase of statal leagues (Paulista title = 50 pts x2 / Mineiro title = 41 pts x2)

If Corinthians is 99% qualified for Copa Libertadores knock-out phase, Atletico Mineiro have 50 - 60% chances to qualify (remaining matches : away with Atlas and home with Colo Colo)

It''s incredible how all top4 clubs in CONMEBOL were excluded from Copa Libertadores. This is what I like, and not as in UEFA, where Real, Barca and Bayern dominate the top3. Conmebol is the most equilibrate confederation from the world.

Now, Emelec is the top football club qualified for Copa Libertadores quarterfinals ... awesome.

CONMEBOL Top10 ranking for August 1, 2015 (before Copa Libertadores final - second leg)



River Plate, from 13rd (from last update) to 1st (after Copa Libertadores final). They earned 98pts*2 for CopaLib trophy. But, this will be showed in the next update.

In August we have Copa Sudamericana !! River Plate can be first eam which won both major continental competitions from the world : Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana (vfor CONMEBOL version, as UEFA Champions League & UEFA Europa League fr UEFA version .... anyway this is not possible in UEFA because both competitions are played in same time and have other system for qualifications from national leagues)

Emelec, River Plate, Libertad from top10 will play in Copa Sudamericana and can earn more points for the ranking. More as, Argentina and Brazil will earn a total of 100% points at the end of the leagues (use European system), while the rest of CONMEBOL use Apertura-Clausura system with 50-50 points distribution. So, if the rest of the leagues have already added an half of the league Apertura 2015 (from season 2015) or Clausura 2015 (from season 2014/15), Brasil Serie A and Argentina Premier League will earn more points at the end, and the clubs can grow up better than other clubs.

Will be a fresh month for Conmebol, where only 3 clubs of top10 are qualified for Copa Sudamericana, and where, probably, many dates will be busy for national teams.

Helped by their qualification in quarterfinals of Copa Sudamericana, Independiente Santa Fe is in top10. Boca Juniors, which was 10th, now is 11st in the ranking.

Emelec is 3rd, ahead Atletico Nacional because they earned some points from Copa Sudamericana.

River Plate collect some points and are close to be first Conmebol team in top10. If we think that Primera Division is not finished, we are sure that River will be in top10 at the end of 2015. And much more, River have only 3 seasons played at good standards (2015, 2014, 2013) ... with 2012 in Second League and 2011 a bad season.

Definitelly for the next year, River will remain in top10 for some time.... they have in 3/5 seasons more points than other teams in 5/5.

This month, with a qualification in semifinals, River can join top10 World Clubs.
