Even low in the rankings, a change of 34 ranks is *incredibly* drastic. SKN is currently at 989 points; being near 100th would be nearly 1200 points, more than 200pts' difference. Even the USA's 7-win streak at the WWC netted them less than 80pts. Three wins and a draw in a qualifier to a qualifying competition will be nothing in comparison.

Despite Canada's current state of form (two consecutive 4-0 losses in friendly matches, to Japan and Brazil) I seriously doubt the other teams in their group can be actual contenders. What do you think, guys? Is there any chance that the two CONCACAF qualified teams will be different from USA and Canada?
CRC is in relatively good form right now... Definitely a respectable showing at the PanAm Games and a close 0-1 loss to Chile in Brazil. I don't see CRC getting past the USA, but there's a (slim) chance they surprise CAN in the SFs. Even with CAN's current form, I don't see anyone surprising them in the group stage... And TBQH, CAN's "form" is partially due to playing against really tough competition. Losing by 0-8 over two games is certainly bad, but you can compare CAN's current "woes" to BRA's run-up to the WWC. Then at the WWC, they performed exactly as well as you'd expect a low-top-ten team to perform, with only narrow losses to AUS and (hosts!) FRA.
Yeah, only two slots so it should be USA & Canada. Semis should be USA vs. Jamaica & Canada vs. Costa Rica.
Jamaica didn't have their World Cup squad at the Pan Ams. I'm going to assume they'll have their better players for these qualifiers.
Maybe the top four or so players weren't at the PanAms, but that's about it for the actual impact any differences would have had - differences further down the roster won't make any noticeable strength differences. (Not to mention that Jamaica was not incredibly impressive at the WWC, so not having the WWC squad doesn't say much.) Worth pointing out as well that several of Mexico's best players weren't at the PanAms either. Both teams will be improved for OGQs.

Since it hasn't been mentioned here yet, I'm just going to point out that this is very likely the tournament where Sinclair breaks the world record for international goals.
Games are live/streaming on YouTube for viewers in most countries https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqn7r-so0mBLaJTtTms9dAQ/ (not in US/Canada) Just now it's Canada v St Kitts & Nevis
And there's 1: Sinclair just tied Wambach's record 6 minutes in (off a penalty kick that Sinclair earned).

11-0 for Canada in the end. The other game in group B is starting now -- who'll come out on top? Mexico vs Jamaica [stream geoblocked in most of N America]
Watched the hard fought/exciting, Jamaica-Mexico game, sad that apparently nobody else did(otherwise somebody would posted about it by now). Mexico did a great job marking Bunny Shaw out of the game(though she had her chances). What the Mexicans lacked in speed & size, they made up for it in an ‘buzzsaw’ mentality, the way they went for every ball. It’s refreshing see so many new, upcoming players, but at the same time they lacked a true superstar to get that final touch upfront. Their new Gk, Alvarado, might of been an upgrade over their more inexperienced but rather short, Santiago, but couldn’t handle some of the high balls/corner kicks either. Had some strong defenders though in Lopez & Orajel(misspell)who marked Shaw like a hawk. Jamaica didn’t look like the were well prepared/their defenders couldn’t read each other(which ultimately lead to the goal). Hopefully this experience, will get them back on track for next game, but Shaw did get injured at the end of the match(don’t know how serious it is)
Wow, I praise you for unusually ackowledging a misspelling! By the way, it was anyway one of you "closer" mispells (Orejel). I hope it's not serious at all! She's an exciting player to watch, in Division 1 Féminine in France also (and, who knows, now that Hegerberg is out, she could even try to battle for the top-scorer title there, although Katoto would be hard to catch up with anyway).
There's a whole lot of discussion on this in a thread on the USWNT forum and the referee forum; everyone (except for one poster) pretty much agrees the referee team massively screwed up here.

here's the only info I found on Shaw's injury(don't really answer if she's ok) Reggae Girlz captain Khadija Shaw taken to hospital after clash of heads in Mexico match their in a must win situation in their next game vs Canada. At least my personal fav Jamaican, Schneider(the GK) defended superbly, but they got to do more than being an 'one man army' on offence
