The league and the team are in disagreements regarding the roster mainly. The league wants a proper expansion draft where the Fury could protect some of their players but not all of them, the Fury wants to keep everyone. That's the main reason for this
Hey guys, I have some catching up to do in this thread and I will resume documenting the league's development shortly. In the meantime, this thread has all the developments done to the details. Canadian Premier League

We could not be prouder to be a part of this exciting new league.” The partnership was negotiated by the Canadian Soccer Business (CSB) on behalf of the league. The multi-year deal will allow Volkswagen to uniquely connect with Canada’s growing nation of soccer supporters at all levels. This after a recent ReThink Management survey found nearly 60% of Canadian soccer fans prefer a top-tier, all-Canadian professional league to additional Major League Soccer franchises operating north of the border. The same survey found a high level of interest in a hypothetical Canadian first division prior to the Canadian Soccer Association officially sanctioning the CPL in 2017. Rosters are predominantly Canadian and clubs are required to insert at least six Canadians into their starting lineups. Three spots on each CPL roster are reserved for players 21 years of age or younger. Similar to comparable league’s around the world, CPL clubs are mandated to feature under-21 players for at least 1,000 combined minutes.

Interesting. So 10 games in the Spring season and then 18 in the Fall. Is the Final two legs? I don't see that on the site.
How did they choose how often you play each opponent in the Spring? Each club has 10 games and 6 opponents. Including the start and end dates, clubs play once per 6.6 days in the Spring and once per 5.9 days in the Fall.
I don't see any pattern to the Spring schedule imbalance. They made sure that Forge, Valour, and Edmonton play each other twice since that will determine the CONCACAF League entrant but other than that it looks random. As far as the frequency of games the Spring season does also include most of the Canadian Championship early rounds. CPL teams will have games in that tournament on May 15 and 22; and June 5 and 12. All of them will play at least two games in that period and some will play 4. Fewer of them will be playing Canadian Championship games in the Fall.
I think PFC wins this with their ice blue (?) (purple is nice as well). l'm behind Cavalry as far as teams. They'll look good as well. i think red will look better n the field and green will look better on a Sunday late-morning stroll in Eau Claire.
One of these teams will be representing Canada at the CONCACAF League going forward, and potentially... the CONCACAF Champions League as well 1114185462745370625 is not a valid tweet id
On the whole they're nice. Not a fan of collars and the "stripes" on the Edmonton primary are disturbing. Most importantly they've at least strayed from the staid solid blue or red that permeates so much of the game elsewhere. Not sure how well the York primary will fly but I dig the homage to 80's artistic flair. Reminds me of some of those Umbro kits you'd see in youth leagues.
Is Y9's primary the partly white one? That's my least favorite but I still don't hate it. The other Y9 one looks quite good, imho. I like the FCE stripes, though they are pretty subtle. What I'm noticing now that's somewhat bugging me is on FCE's striped shirt. It's the sponsor, which looks like it's smothered in white. Looks somewhat cheap.

I like the jerseys and the team names. Not cheesy or anything. No stupid names aka: Wizards, real salt lake, etc. That Wanderers name and jersey is very cool overall. My favorite of the bunch. Edmonton FC is also interesting. Great jersey too. Overall, great great job in name/jersey execution.
