The ratings also clearly back this up. Mexican League football is much more watched than EPL games. Champions League is closer because of the availability on ESPN these last few years. But really the MFL and Mexican National Team are far and away the most popular league and team inside this US borders. Anyone who disputes that just needs to see how fast they sold out Giants Stadium a couple weeks ago...i was there.
Wow guys lets not forget MLS teams have done extremely well in this tourney before when it was the old style in the 1990s and early 2000's.... last year was sort of a fluke and MLS teams did terrible because they were overloaded with too many matches at the same time, and we dont have as big of rosters or depth as other teams do... this year in the prelims we've already improved a lot from last year.... instead of just 2 MLS in prelims, it was 3.... instead of both MLS teams getting smashed, 1 MLS team actually beat its opponents, and the other 2 MLS teams had 1 tie and 1 loss (1-goal loss too, pretty damn close games). so in conclusion MLS has shown that last year was a fluke and resting all your arguments on it only shows how much you fear the USA

Really? Name the 50 leagues that are better. Saying that MLS isn't one of the top 50 leauges in the world is just as much hyperbole as those people who are saying that MLS is as good as the Mexican league.
