Nice away win for the "Eastern Lions". They didnt look tired tonite like they did against Olimpia last week. Good to see CFU teams doing well against Mexican club sides.
How does the qualification for Copa LIbertadores work exactly? I know that the top team in the standings of the Apertura goes Libertadores automatically, but how exactly are the teams decided that play in the Interliga? The reason I ask is because I wonder if teams like Atlante and Santos are purposely losing and trying to not make the knockout stage of the CCL so that they might be able to get into LIbertadores, as Libertadores would start and end in between the end of the CCL group stage and the beginning of the next years CCL preliminary round (assuming it starts in late august).
I suppose the best 8 teams in the regular season not playing in concacaf go into the interliga, but even if those two crappy teams are losing purposely(which they aren't they actually are that bad) they wont make it into the Copa playing like they are, well Atlante's always been crap, them winning the league was a total fluke.
Dood what happened to Santos, without Ludueña they are pathetic. The little I saw of the match Benitez was getting in the way instead of helping the team.
I didn't see it, and yes we are very very Luduena dependant. Even so, we've been sucking it up these last few weeks.
Who cares? It's a joke tournament. These teams would never beat Santos if the starters were playing, they took the game seriously, the ref didn't suck, the field wasn't greeen and the crowd wasn't so loud.
Starters were there, for Santos. Its all a mentality issue. Mex teams think they can arrive and win. The probably didnt even study the team, take it seriously. Overconfidence.
Was Atlante full strength or was it mostly reserves against JP? I can't believe a full-strength Mexican team can lose to JP. The Revs reserves yes but WTF is going on? Does the MFL have fixture congestion problems too or does the CCL just not have enough monetary award to be taken seriously?
They subbed in Hobbit, later in the game. Pereyra wasnt playing I dont think, so they may have been missing some players. Maldonado was crap.
it was a lame joke/post speaking of lame, look up lame in google pics and what do you see on the bottom row? lol
Well to be completely honest, nobody here cares about the "concachampions", none of the fans, so I doubt the players do either.
lol thats why atlante is near the top of the table with 1 loss and they beat americas ass last weak in their home denail is a bad thing. as for the teams, man did the mfl teams suck it up. most of the mfl teams just show up thinking they can win these games easily, its that these central american teams are playing them like world cups this is their only chance to show what they got and they want to really bad. its obvious, they have barely any technical style, but they all have big ass thugs who are great at running towards you and crashing ala mls style. mfl teams need to just take care of business because they easily can, seems like they dont care much because concacrap is always throwing shit tourneys (superliga) changing tourneys etc. so their like wtf f this im not getting paid ne more to play these noobs. thats why u see a difference in some mfl clubs when palying south american tourneys, well atleast when they get to the good teams (braz, arg).
Who's in denial? Atlante have historically always been a crap team, last season I believe they didn't even made it into the liguilla, them being second now is a fluke, and I never said America was better or did I? They just lost to a team from TT at home but then again you guys also lost to a them from over there last year, rite? And always talking shit about America as if Chivas were that much better.
Atlante lost to Joe Public FC a team thats currently in 7th place in the professional League in T&T. The team Chivas lost to last time was W Connection FC. They're one of the top club sides in the nation with much better players and far more depth than Joe Public.
