The team announced today that their home opener will be November 4th against the Wichita Wings which are returning this season. MISL will now be an 8 team league and the season will consist of 24 games. The full schedule will be out later this week.

The Liberty corn maze is also going to be the classic Comets logo this year which is cool.

This thread should be renamed "Why American's should never be allowed to run FIFA" and then put in NSR :D

With everyone in the league being new except for KC and Milwaukee, KC has a shot at winning the title. they have pretty much everyone coming back and added a couple of former MLS players I believe.

Hey now, MISL was smart enough to implement goal judges back in the 80s! :D

I love that track. It brings back a lot of memories. I know they have brought it back with an imitation of the original intro but they just cannot match the 80s at Kemper. That place use to be packed and it was loud.

It should be. All the teams are new except for Milwaukee and KC this year so that should give them an advantage. I love that Wichita is back. My grandma bought 4 season tickets so I will be going to as many games as i want to go too.

    Yes they are.

I'm very much looking forward to the season opener. I really like that a lot of the Comets players have been and currently are training with Sporting.

Alvarez was earlier in the season. Leo is currently and has been for the bulk of the summer. Bryan Perez, Coady Andrews are currently training since they have finished with the Des Moines Menance PDL season.

I like the signing of Ryan Junge from the Crew, big strong defender.

That's really what hurt the Comets last year. Houser was about it last year and was really limited in games, now they have Junge and Kante, certainly a good area to upgrade.

I will be interested to see how many they put in Sprint Center. That's a big place. Indoor Soccer field layout has to be 18,000+.

It's a good move doing it during the NSCAA Convention.

With everyone here for the conference and a good chunk of comp tickets, they could fill the place. A lot of soccer people looking to do something during the evenings that will be staying pretty close.

I agree, we will see. Pretty forward thinking from the Comets Front Office. Man if they get a big crowd in Sprint Center that place would rock.

Good time tonight at the game. Comets won 14-4 with a dominating performance. Hector and his group were there rocking the place.

Apparently, the game last night was a little rough and the bad blood spilled over into tonight. Wichita and KC havent played each other for 7 years but the rivalry didnt miss a beat.

Jamar Beasley is now playing for Wichita.

He wasnt very effective tonight but the entire Wichita team was just poor. I am not sure how they made a game of it last night because it was obvious tonight that we are a much better team. Wichita was hacking like crazy and had some really dirty fouls. I think they had 2 or 3 penalties for straight up body checking our guys into the boards.

There were tons and tons of people wearing Sporting KC gear tonight. In fact, I bet there was more Sporting KC gear being worn than Comets stuff.
