I had dipped out from the game for a few minutes, coming back two goals later and this was my thought too
I started watching basketball after the first 10min...our goalie looked lost, and there is no attacking threat from us. I think this may be 4-0 by the end of 90.
Super shit half. Bendik - first goal, meh. Second goal, could’ve done better. Afful - not great on the second goal. Mensah - not great on either goal. Sauro - gotta be stronger on the second goal. Jimenez - our best player by a mile. A fvcking country mile. Clark - decent enough. Artur - looks lazy, uninspired. Santos - working hard, only offensive player looking like he’s capable of anything. Pipa - looks like his legs have gone. Passes not coming off, looks slow, nowhere close to winning any duels. Robinho - is he playing? Completely invisible. Mullins - no service. Porter - change something immediately. If we come out doing the same thing, then i have to seriously question his ability to change the game and overall coaching acumen. So obvious our game-plan isn’t working.
I can live with the first goal. They gave up too much space, guy executes a good shot — awright, it happens. But on the second, we had enough player around the ball that we should have been able to deal with it. That one hurts.
Neil - good zinger about santos falling down early on. Dwight - keeps talking about how the crew have better stats, cant explain whats happening. Well, allow me: philly is possessing and passing the ball in the attacking third, close to the opponent’s goal. Cbus is passing it around their own defensive and midfield third, a million miles from their opponent’s goal.
And when we thought it couldn’t get worse. Trapp & Staffen lead this team. I hate that we play on these weekends.
And that is all she wrote. We continually get into decent spots and then hit aimless balls to no one.
I did say it would probably be 4-0 before the end of this game. Its gonna be awhile till we see any depth on this team....but at least I think things will change for the better.
