Get Abubakar out, he can’t defend anyone without fouling

I mean, this just has a totally different feel from the TFC game a few weeks ago. Even at 3-0 and with less time than this, I didn't think we looked out of it.

Just can't say the same here.

Look at how deep the CB's are dropping to take the ball off of Big Kempin. Why even bother passing to them?

In first half added time. Seriously, has Zardes even touched the ball?

Well. Everyone who was blasting me for pointing out that Kempin wasn't much of an upgrade over Ketterer…. I'm waiting.

Yeah, but he had to track all the way back to our defensive box to do so.

Did Kempin tell the wall to part like the Red Sea?

Not sure what game you are watching, they look pretty pedestrian to me. Crew play a style of soccer that an infant can breakdown with ease and they are try to succeed with all the wrong pieces and parts.

Zardes has attempted 4 passes, fewest of any player on the field, including the goalkeepers. Zero service for him.

Ehh, I don't know. That's the thing about backup keepers. The sample size is always too small to make any claims.

I don't think I gave you any guff for it but if it makes you feel any better I can say that I figured Kempin would be serviceable, certainly better than what he has showed this season.

They just showed the replay. Ciman struck across the wall. The ball went left around the outside of the wall, then reversed direction and went right, ending up in the corner. Crazy swerve, no sure even Steffen would've gotten it to be fair.

The ball didn’t go through the wall though. It went to the right of it. It should have gone directly where a 4th guy was standing (or where Kempin should have correctly positioned a 3 man wall).

Did Kempin only put three in the wall on a shot from that distance?

Did Kempin get beat on a shot that from that angle, with a right-footed strike, went inside the wall, and bent to the far post? I mean, as soon as it was struck, he should have been able to tell pretty quickly that it wasn't going far post. That only leaves the middle and the near post. And he still looked like he was jumping out of quicksand.

Kempin has started 11 games in a season and a half, not really a small sample size.

    Oh, Steffen absolutely gets that.

There's no way a national-team-level goalkeeper has that slow of a reaction on that shot. There's also no way he constructs the wall so poorly that that right-footed curler to the far post around the wall is even an option in the first place.

It wasn't a typical right footed curl shot. Went around left side of wall, not right. Shot was hit like a left footed player took it, but ciman is right footed. Why would a keeper put an extra guy on that side of the wall? Kempin sucks, but it was a crazy shot.
