The Tweeter-verse thinks 3G is putting Abubakar on the left to give Altidore a more physical presence while he does his target-winger thing.

I think the lineup will look more like this honestly:

    ------------------Steffen
    ---Mensah---Williams---Abubakar
    ----------Trapp---------Abu
    Afful-----Santos-----Higuain---Meram
    ----------------Kamara

Regardless, shit is weird. Just play fvcking Jimenez.

I was shocked he was benched last gm and it was start Ratiala or Abubakar. If so i think it’s a good move otherwise it’s a strange risk but i agree it will be that 3-4-3 look we had success with as we try to get a 1-1 draw or better

I guess I’m outnumbered. I like Lalas’ physicality. And if Jozy is playing as a target winger—well, we all know how much of a snowflake Jozy is when there’s any physical contact. Maybe it’ll take Jozy out of his game.

I'm not against 3 at the back, it's just an unbalanced formation. We won't have 2 wing backs coming back to help, just one. Meram hasn't played many, if any, full games in what, 2 months it seems like? When Manneh comes on eventually, he sure as shit won't track back.

It's a different 3 man defense than we've had before. I mean, unless Abu is the left wingback? Even then, he doesn't actually run a lot, and would leave Pipa and Trapp as our CMs. No thanks. It just seems a bit odd. I much prefer a lopsided 4-2-3-1 with the attacking formation I described a couple posts back, with Trapp and Abu sitting deep, as opposed to some weird 3 man defense with only 1 wingback, and potentially Trapp and Pipa in the middle.

I’m stuck at a cub scouts meeting. What did we learn from ginger clown’s interview with Phallus-head Garble?
Did ginger clown pitch softballs or did he grow a pair?
Did Phallus-head Garble talk a lot but not say anything?
