If this was Sheep League, I'd be doing very well. Might change my answer to forge a new path to Grouchiness.
Santos. Damn it. I started with Sanch and ended with Sanchez. It will probably be this but the 3-4-2-1 would be more fun.
The problem for me, though, is MLS needs to be consistent one way or the other. There are only five games this weekend: four on Saturday and one on Sunday. Ten teams are put at a disadvantage by playing this weekend while 14 teams get a bye. Two teams play next Friday, so maybe they'll have an issue, too...so half the teams are affected. That shouldn't happen.
I don't know about this year, but I know in years past, teams had the option to play through international breaks or take an extra mid-week game.
One minor thing they should have done is have the conference finals BEFORE the Nov int’l break, then have MLS Cup after it. Gives a mild calendar extension to the end of the season and has a built-in break between conference finals and MLS Cup.
I think you start the better player at striker and if it’s a push take the most fit player . I do think JJ is better and his preseason play earned him a start .
I guess we should feel lucky that Afful and Mensah didn't get called up to the Ghana game this weekend. (They've already clinched qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations, so the game against Kenya on Saturday is meaningless.) (On the down side, we may be missing them for half of June and July.)
I'm feeling lucky too. I'm hoping to catch an errant Harrison Afful cross from my seat between the benches.
Win by two. Always. Only change is if @chr1st 's extra points question strikes my fancy. Not this time, MANtos.
