Well sorry everyone for completely blowing my prediction based on tactical analysis. I wrongly assumed our staff would also do a tactical analysis and play accordingly. After two performances like that I’m beginning to worry about player psyche. It’s got to be tough to play with the uncertainty of the club’s future. Zack’s mistake was horrible, but I’ll let him make that mistake once and learn from it. At least it wasn’t in MLS Cup like Clark’s was... I still just don’t get what Martinez and Santos were doing tonight. It was mindless at times! Attacking depth is a huge problem right now, especially if Zardes gets hurt. If we aren’t going to play Williams and Sauro is on the mend I’d address it by trading Williams and/or Jimenez for someone. This game should have been a W... This was a bad loss. Who was it a few games back that said they were afraid of what would happen when the posts started playing for the other team? Well, we saw that tonight, combined with the stubbornness of Berhalter's always wanting to "play out of the back" costing us a goal (and in this case, the game). So after the glow came off the first few games of the season lets have a recap. We beat a Toronto team more focused on CCL. We had one good half against Montreal and held on for the win. We beat a very, very bad DC team. And we have looked anywhere from average to garbage in all other moments. This is the 4th - 7th place Columbus Crew I've come to know and love.
That was probably the shittiest Fire team I have ever seen. And of course Crew lost. Last night’s game somehow was even worse than all of the 0-0 draws we have seen there between the two teams. I wonder when our owner is going to spend some money on a premium striker. Ha. I will not be holding my breath.
All of the back passes to the goalkeeper, defenders playing keep away deep in the defensive zone, and our goalkeeper distributing short passes right up the middle of the penalty box are going to do us in on a regular basis. I love the possession game, most of the time, but sometimes we need to just clear the freaking ball or at least work it up the wing instead of the middle of the penalty box.
I'll give Steffen a mulligan on the horrible pass to Nikolic since he saved a goal from Williams blunder. But not being able to score on a bad F*re defense isn't excusable. Don't know how Artur missed wide on his chip, if he put it over the bar, that would make more sense.
Where do you host your images? For years I used scumbucket. At some point in the recent past, I had to find a new image hosting site. I went with ohmygur or whatever. While it hosts the images just fine, I find myself annoyed that it works as a like/dislike social media site. I found out that a month ago a troll said crap on a picture of my beautiful Markus. While I let him know that he, the troll, was an amazing contribution to human history, I would prefer not to be exposed to the world’s stupidity when I am just trying to host images to post on a goddamn soccer message board. Please and thank you in advance.
I just use tinyurl.com for most. So they are basically throwaway links to me. I'm a terrible human being, not very sentimental or attached to pictures, etc. as I rarely remember to take any and I distrust The Cloud implicitly. What few I care about live on my phone until I bother to transfer them to my PC and backup hard drives. I shuttered Facebook years ago, never set up Google+ beyond populating it with as much fake info as it would allow (having an Android phone) and making everything private and unsearchable. I've disabled all auto-upload, location tagging, and opted out of any and all marketing, tracking and assistant options possible. My Google Photo album is empty. So most convenience services and features don't work for me. I'm a Luddite working in tech, so probably not the opinion you're seeking. My opinion is to hide as much as possible from Big Brother.
