Who: Colorado Rapids v. Houston Dynamo
When: Saturday, July 1 @ 8:00 pm CDT
Where: Dick's Sporting Goods Park; Commerce City, CO
Records: Colorado Rapids (5-10-1), 11th in West
Houston Dynamo (7-6-4), 2nd in West
    TV: KUBE-57
    Radio: 610 am/1010 am (Spanish)

The Dynamo also sent out an email saying this game was on the local UniMas station: KFTH-67. There was no broadcast information at all on the website until June 28. I guess we'll see.

This is the 18th regular season game of the year for Houston and the 17th for Colorado. This is the first meeting this season. The teams will meet again in Houston on September 9. Last year the Dynamo had a home loss to the Rapids, 2-3, in early October and then got a draw, 1-1, out in Colorado two weeks later. Houston has not won in Colorado since 2008.

Colorado's most recent game was a road at FC Dallas in the U.S. Open Cup on June 27. Their last league game was a 1-0 loss at Atlanta on June 24. That loss made them 3-2-0 in their last 5 MLS games scoring 6 goals and allowing 6. So far this year the Rapids are 5-3-1 in home league games. Their next game after playing Houston is hosting Seattle on Tuesday, July 4.

The Dynamo are 1-1-3 over the last five league games scoring 8 goals and allowing 5. Houston is 0-6-2 in road league games this year.

The Dynamo next host Montreal on Wednesday, July 5, and then don't have a league game until July 19 at Minnesota.

Common sense tells us this is 3 easy points, right?

However, will they manage to mess up this opportunity? No Hondurans, slower team, away game...

Why the hell is Willis starting over Deric tonight? What has Deric done to deserve getting dropped? Willis handed that second goal to Colorado on a silver platter.

Whatever Wilmer's issue is with Deric, he needs to get over it. Willis is pure crap as a starter.

All I can think of he was gonna play 1 tonight and the other on Wed vs. Montreal but Willis played 3 days ago as well which sort of defeats the purpose of alternating them for rest.

Leonardo is terrible, first 2 goals he screwed up and was lazy.

Reality is that tonight without Elis and Quioto, this is nothing more than a slightly enhanced version of the 2016 Dynamo with some better coaching.

Yikes, i hope we got options lined up for the summer because we need to be able to get results away for a chance to make it deep in the playoffs.

P*ss poor defending, lazy p*ss poor coaching. 9 minutes tick off the clock from going down 3-1 to subbing like he cares if that changes. I know in theory we "looked" more interesting in the second half but that's not what was happening on the scoreboard.

If you want the result to change you have to, you know, change something you're doing.
